One can only wish, in the USA the prison population is continuing to rise. Largely due to drug related crimes. There are many opinions into how to stop it, and of course the profiteering off of prisoners also encourages longer internment of people. But, when it is cheaper to build a new prison than to repair, upgrade, or maintain your current one then you move and build a new prison....

A failure to try to make things better for the person you love shows that you may not really love that person. But, alternatively, a failure to get someone to do that to you may NOT mean the same, as they may be adjusting in ways that you do not see or mean nothing to you (but mean a lot to them). So it is important that you both recognize what adjustments need made to have the biggest impact. (IE: he may be doing things for you constantly to show his love, but that isn't what you see as important and you would rather hear him say it. Which in his mind he IS saying it by doing those things instead of actually talking....)

Now my wife and I can talk about anything, although I tend to be more logical in my approached during an argument, she flies off the handle with everything being related to a single issue....but, I recognize that about her and have learned how to talk with her so that we solve the problem. Eh, my wife always asks permission to do things. But, this is not b/c I control her, rather it is b/c we have kids and she wants to be certain no other plans were made on that day so we dont abandon our kids because we failed to plan together. Ironically, she goes out far more than I do, in the last 10 years all of mine were for business, not one personal event. Hers are almost always personal, making it more difficult to plan around...but easier for me to be ok with it since i have no plans.

Ok, this guy had a problem and did not know it. He was terminated rightfully. BUT, he discovered the problem (wife has sleep issues, this believing that you never fell asleep DOES happen!) and took appropriate action, and can prove that the side effect was listed. He didn't come back in a day, or a week. He came back 9 months later...this wasn't a "I'm trying to keep my job" but a "I lost a good opportunity and I found out why, now that it is fixed I hope that they can reconsider me." So, that makes a huge difference.

I will get angry and frustrated when there is no reason for bad service or long wait times. If we go out on a holiday, like Valentine's Day, I don't get upset because the waitstaff are already overwhelmed and frantic. Those are the times I'm calm to keep them calm. I've been in the service industry. I recognize when a situation is bad service from being overwhelmed and when it's bad service from staff that have just given up on trying. And know that if I see a server or hostess that is overwhelmed and you're being nasty to them...I will call you out and ruin your day further.
