“AITA For Telling My Neighbor To Get Over It When I Wake Her Baby Up?”

I run a daycare on a main street where the children nap for two hours in the afternoon. They are still asleep when the highschool up the street lets out. There are people mowing their lawns, sometimes doing heavier construction on their homes, the cars are revving up INSANELY loud in the street, and they sleep. They also sleep with the blinds open (sunlight pouring in) AND the windows open sometimes (fresh air). Get the kid used to it, the world is noisy. It's also loud as heck sometimes at night, due to inconsiderate drivers, we all survive somehow.

My uncle's family and my parents live and work on the same farm. My parent's house is ON the main farm area so when I go see them I usually get a greeting from him. He's already not my favorite person (bitched me out via phone on a Sunday morning for sleeping in, I'd been at work since 5:00 a.m.) and he walks up to me and shouts "Oh, you always had such pretty hair. Now it's ruined." I shouted back that I loved it. The next time someone said something about my hair I promised to shave my head before the next family photo if the comments didn't stop.

I've read the book...I'll reread it just in case but....most of the deaths were at schoolhouses. Children weren't expected to go out in the is and do chores. They couldnt even get home.

I'm a little disappointed in the people acting like she can't get her sister's gifts on mother's day. It's a tradition, it's how they celebrate eachother. Motherhood is hard. I call my sisters, if I'm going to see them I get them a bottle of wine or some flowers. Because they are important mothers in my life and it is mother's day. She was being paid to be there, but she didn't want to do this. I never wanted the bus route either, I was TOLD my job now included the bus route. I threw up on the bus.

My mother is in her 70s and I love her very much. I didn't/don't have to take care of her and I don't see that as something she will ever let me do. My father and her have made it quite clear they want to live on their own until they pass, and that they make any necessary decisions. If something happens and a decision has to be made that wasn't planned for - they have people listed to handle things that are NOT their children. She's never been unable to do something I wanted/needed her to do because of her age. She takes care of her four active grandchildren regularly. Shame on all of you acting so ugly, it's disgusting. To any of you geriatric parents out there who parented these idiots - I'm so sorry.

She had the landlord return the security deposit in her name, even though I'd paid it in full. It was $1800. When I asked the landlord for the deposit back, he said he already gave it to her and I had to work it out with her. I was 19 and didn't know any better. Needless to say, she never paid me back. Still bitter 20 years later. I worked full time in college and her parents paid her way. $1800 was a lot of money back then.
