I am overworked infectious disease specialist who is obsessed with animals of all kinds. I will rescue animals I have even taken a pigeon to the vet that was hurt in my backyard. I enjoy this website one of my favorites to help me relax and not take life so seriously.

Last week I became an American citizen. So many people (overseas and at home) questioned why I would want to become an American NOW. I thought I was doing it for practical reasons only, but the ceremony changed my mind. 29 people from 20 countries. People of all ages from every corner of the world. The official said “not only are we happy to have you, but we are LUCKY to have you”. It gave me hope. Made me realize that somewhere under all the chaos and shame and pain currently being inflicted upon our country by this awful man and his awful administration, someone still believes in our better selves, in how we are SUPPOSED to be. Hang in there fellow Americans. It is going to be alright in the end. It is.

I couldn't even take my beloved cat into the vet because I didn't want her to be afraid in her last hours so I used up all my savings to get the vet to come in our house. She passed away in my arms in her favorite place in the house, safe in her own home ❤️
