Poachers making use of deadly force to protect their interests. Among the most lethal places for driving due to unsafe roads, dangerous driving, nonexistent safety standards and highway robberies. Ebola and HIV are endemic.

Bad advice. The country went through economic crisis, famine and revolts just a few months ago. It is still quite unstable, with upcoming political elections that routinely lead to demonstrations often turning violent. ISIS pulled off a major terrorist attack against touristic targets just a few years ago, and multiple international agencies reported that the island is refuge to several expat and local terrorist groups such as the Tamil Tigers; considering Sri Lankan safety agencies are chronically underfunded and generally ineffective, I think the preference of curry over seafood should not be the primary concerns for tourists.

I adore the idea of a dad bringing his daughter down the aisle, but I also agree this isn't for everyone. My dad is not toxic, but I am not close with thim either, so personally I would prefer doing it alone. I also love the idea of having both parents involved, it's so cute.

If you can afford it, I see this as an absolute win. It's just a fun time for everyone before the big day (hopefully if everyone stays in line, like no cheating.) and is a time for people friends to bond before one of them gets married. I think it's a cute idea, and I know many other cultures do have many pre wedding events.

Hey Pandas, How Do You Envision Life In The United States? (Closed)

The economy there is super trashy, so they can make wayyy more money here in the States. Most do them tend to go for any job in healthcare so they're guaranteed a job. I don't know why they still envision the US as the dream place, given the struggles they aren't ready to face. (They don't understand there's poor people here too, until it's too late to realize.)

I see nothing wrong with a destination bachelorette. In fact, I wish I was invited to more! I work hard to afford girls trips, why wouldn't I love one with a THEME that I didn't need to pick and someone else puts together the location and itinerary? So exciting and always fun.
