In Denmark we have a company that does a lot for safety and other things. They give a lot of stuffed polar bears to give to children who has been in surgery or undergone some other major treatment at hospitals. They have a little name tag as well. Girls' polar bears are called Thea (two of my kids have them) and the ones for boys are called Theo. There are also knitting clubs where they knit and crochet little animals and things for kids. These are usually handed out at your local doctor or in an ambulance. 😊

It's true though. It's cause the work culture is broken and they're grossly underpaid. But there isn't a single store besides walmarts where the employees carry themselves with open contempt for the customer in front of them as a matter of standard practice. Walmart employees have a bad attitude because 1) most customers are a$$holes (especially the Walmart crowd) and 2) they're only making about 8 bucks an hour (which is a travesty for such a wealthy company) so fuqk the customers!
Those who have worked at Walmart know that it has a somewhat peculiar, albeit wholesome tradition. It's the "Walmart cheer"; a chant employees have to do daily to keep their spirits up and offer customers the best service possible. Founder Sam Walton was inspired to incorporate the Walmart cheer into his stores after a visit to a Korean tennis ball manufacturing facility. But whether or not employees actually like the tradition, well, we'll leave that for you to decide for yourselves.

Then I heard laughter and then more laughter. I looked into my right side mirror and the boys were trying to hold their pants up while running for the bus. The weirdest stuff sometimes really does happen at Walmart stores. Just this spring, a woman made a TikTok video showing how the chicken nuggets she had just bought from a Walmart were "empty." And she wasn't the only one – other customers reported buying similar nuggets as well. The mom, Amanda, told TODAY.com that the nuggets were intended for her kid's lunch, but receiving the chicken-less nuggets meant she had to scramble and find something else to put in his lunchbox that day.

This is probably a college student- My friends and I once got bored and dressed up to go to Walmart- I got a heavy beard and eyebrows and wore my cloak from a Ren fair, my friend also got a beard and dressed up as a cowboy, and another of our (guy) friends wore a pencil skirt and jacket along with a drawn-on cartoon villain mustache. We went to Walmart at like 9pm because there was nothing else to do in our college town, everyone asked us if we were in a play. It was a lot of fun!

This one makes me sad actually. She's clearly overweight (I am too, and saying this is relevant, not just me being mean I promise!) and is probably struggling to walk and needed a place to sit for a second. At least she's out walking at all. She could be in a mobility scooter or have just stayed home, but she's out there walking and probably trying her best. She just needed to rest. Should she sit where food is, no, but my heart goes out to her and I can't shame her for this.

Why dont they have benches for elderly people? If i have to walk for a while, i think my back breaks into pieces. I would only sit for a short while, this would do it. I will not take a nap for hours, just a short break. And i am a good customer and leave a lot of money there.. Toilets are appreciated as well. Maybe this woman was just desperate.

I will say, though, as someone who has a hard time standing and walking, I often wished grocery stores would put out chairs throughout the stores so people could sit down. I use the electric carts now (a story in itself) but honestly, is it that hard for the stores to find and place a couple of chairs around?

It wouldn't happen if stores would put benches around the sales floor. I'm disabled and there are never electric buggies when I need one. I have no choice but to sit places not meant for sitting. I do try to make it to the toilet paper or dog food aisles though, and not sit on or next to food items, but when I'm about to collapse sometimes I have no other choice but sit on the edge of a cooler. Please, for the love of God, put benches around the stores! And able bodied people, stop hogging the benches and let the elderly and disabled use them. We need them more than you do.

Make the cart return areas more accessible. Where I live there is one every other row. I'm not walking 2 rows over, dodging and weaving around cars to put it in the corral when I'm disabled and can barely walk. They need some closer to the front, as well as further back. They need them in every row and they need them along the edges. If numerous people leave them in a certain area, such as in the photo, there is obviously not a return area close by.

Plan B is supposed to be an emergency back-up. It prevents fertilized eggs from attaching to the uterine lining. Suggesting its use as a primary contraception is reprehensible. As PolitiFact states in article claiming that Plan B does not cause abortions: "[E]mergency contraception can prevent the implantation of a fertilized egg, It also does not interfere with a pregnancy because, medically speaking, pregnancy begins with the implantation of a fertilized egg." So the article acknowledges that Plan B will prevent a "fertilized egg" from implanting, they just define "pregnancy" as excluding the time before a zygote is implanted, six to nine days AFTER the new life begins to develop. The Politifact article is correct, inasmuch as "pregnancy" by definition, refers to the state of the mother. But it's grossly misleading because most people who object to early abortions do so on the basis that life begins at conception, not over a week of development later.

I really hope the person taking the pic was a buddy accompanying him and they had a laugh together and he agreed the pic could be shared! That's the only acceptable scenario for this being online that I can think of. Somehow, I worry this is not the case. Are there other stores apart from Walmart? In the UK, as far as food goes, we have the very cheap end (Aldi, Lidl), then Asda, Iceland and Co-op, then the middle-class ones (Sainsbury, Tesco, Morrisons), the more expensive ones (M&S, Waitrose) and finally the posh ones (Harrods, Fortnum & Mason). Walmart is the only chain we ever hear of over here. Surely there's a higher class one that's not full of overweight and strangely-dressed people?
