This is why you seem unhinged, and are unfit to be responsible for another creature's wellbeing. Imagine a parent saying their kid should die with them to prevent them suffering grief. Even if your animal were to miss you at all, which seems increasingly unlikely, then who are you to say they would suffer by being taken in by a loving guardian who would feed them and give them care and attention? Deluded, selfish narcissism.

What on Earth is wrong with you that you would inflict an untimely death on a healthy creature you claim to love? Many others would be more than capable of giving the pet a happy new life, away from the callous narcissism of its current owner, who is entirely unfit to raise a pet.

Do you not trust your relatives and/or friends to find a loving home for him? When my grandfather died, my parents made sure to find a person who would take care of his tom cat and even payed the vet bills in the following years. The tom cat sadly died fairly young from heart failure (I think) but still, he had got to enjoy several more years of life ,and it was a good life. Despite growing up a single cat, he adapted very well to the multiple cat household and seemed to rather enjoy his new home.

With the best will in the world, you are insisting a term that has ethnicity at its core be included in terminology that is focused on sexual identity. Agreed. People are very quick to judge situations they don't know much about. It's possible that the dad is an AH, but it's equally possible that there was a situation like the wife having an affair first or them being separated when it happened. As she mentioned the dad isn't encouraging that behaviour, it's understandable for the kid to copy the behaviour of the other kids, and it can be tough only growing up with one parent figure. The girl clearly regards the woman as a parental figure to some extent, and it would cost little to try and make the kid feel a little better. Who has a crying child run up to them and effectively bats them away, especially when it's the child of someone you once loved?

Sweet potato starch is the one. I've tried (regular) potato starch, cornflour, rice flour, mixes etc - it's by far the best in terms of colour, texture and crispness. Also, don't waste an egg, just put a bit of soy, sugar, shaoxing wine and sesame oil over the chicken and mix (maybe some ginger garlic paste and chilli powder too) then add the sweet potato starch until all coated thoroughly and dry looking, followed by a double fry.

It doesn't easily remove polymerised oil. It may reduce it slightly, but you should be regularly adding oil when you cook. For Asian wok cooking, and the temperatures involved, this generally means that the seasoning regularly gets renewed anyway. I tend to rinse with water, and either give it a quick clean with a soapy sponge or sometimes a metal scourer (which is more likely to damage seasoning) when it has cooled slightly but is still warm. You should then put it back over heat to dry it off to prevent rusting anyway, which is an ideal time to add a wipe of oil over the pan in case you think it needs a touch more seasoning.
