Oh haggis is YUMMY. I'm an Aussie and I've loved eating haggis since my first trip to Scotland. All it is is minced meat with barley and spices. It use to be cooked in sheep's stomachs because it was the most economical part of the sheep to use that could then be tossed afterwards. Today it's cooked in a synthetic bag. So unless you're a vegetarian/vegan then there's no reason not to try it. Mind you, I'm quite sure that a non meat version could be made.

I've eaten crickets, grasshoppers, ants, grubs and moths. The grubs were fairly big, but the rest of the insects are too small to really be worth the effort. I'd have to say the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten was grizzly bear. It doesn't matter how you cook it, it tastes like a sweaty armpit.
