A very pregnant mom , carrying groceries with toddler in the stroller and older toddler on bike was crossing a busy street. The kid on the bike suddenly just freaks out and mom is trying to get him to peddle and keep moving. All of a sudden a cop car pulls up to the cross street and pops its lights on. Both cops jump out and one helps the mom by taking her bags and stroller. The other gets the little guy on his bike and high fives him encouraging him to peddle. They get across the road and the cops then keep walking. I was nosy and followed. They walk the mom and kids to the apartment complex and carry the groceries, stroller, and kid's bike and help her get them to the apartment. Then they just jogged back to the car and went on their way. I'm sure that mom really appreciated that help. We've all been there.

I love hearing good cop stories! Too often you hear bad cop stories (which we all wish didn't exist), but there are good men out there, and they're the ones who deserve to be idolized!

Saw a mum & kid fighting (arguing) in a supermarket. Kid says "I hate you" and mum's comeback was "That's okay, I love you enough for both of us".

10/10 parenting right there.

So, I know bp isn't all for God, but... I once went with my friend to her church to see what its like (I also know some people there) and we ran into this woman holding a crying baby. Not only was she missing the service, but she had apparently not been able to sing in the choir like she normally does. Not really knowing the woman (but her church is very tight knit) my friend walks over and offers to watch the baby. Ecstatic, the woman gets to sing! (She LOVES singing and had missed it!) Though my friend had to deal with an adorable baby, she apparently does it very frequently now!
I was so heartwarmed when I saw it! I know it's small but the lady looked much happier getting an hour to sing!

On our way to the french alpes we decided to stop for the night at a Hotel. In the morning my kids were eager to try a pancake machine but I didn't know how it worked. So I was talking to my youngest son and said his name. A little boy of about 7 y.o. jumped up and said: That's my name too! And helped us to use the pancake machine. As we walked back to our table he said with such an enthousiatic vibe "Enjoy your vacation!". It was a beautiful moment in which I felt proud for the boy to be such a nice little gentleman.

I was walking the cat and met one of our neighbors, a mother with a baby and young kid. I began some small talk about the weather just out of politeness, and while we chatted and giggled with the mother, the girl picked an azalea flower and gave it to me without a word. I just melted of cuteness overload. I still keep the flower, it is so precious to me.

Witnessed a stranger give up their bus seat for an elderly person with a warm smile. Small act, big heart.

Someone tried to do this to me the other day (my hair is 100% silver and I am 42) while I was bending to tend to my son in his pushchair. When I straightened up and they saw my face, they realised I was probably a good 15 years younger than them! :D But sweet of them, I suppose. I was knackered (that's young kids for you) and would have sat if I could!

A random smart bus driver was at a bus stop and I needed to cross the street and he made eye contact with me, waved me on, and gave a genuine smile. Not like a fake one, a real one and it made my whole passed 6 months. I still think of the authentic kindness and it makes me smile still to this day.

If this made you feel good for 6 months, it just goes to show how a little kindness goes a long way, and inspires me to keep on being genuinely kind

I took my baby (1 1/ 2 years old) to a baby storytime at the library. At that age, he had never really experimented with playing with other kids his age. Neither had most of the babies at the storytime. A precious little girl came up to him and handed him a lego. He then giggled and they both played together for over an hour. Laughing, hugging, it was an amazingly precious and adorable first playdate.

My 3-year-old son bonked his head while playing in the playroom, and my 2-year-old daughter came over and embraced his noggin, softly saying, "Poor Ronin...poor Ronin," while rocking him. It had me all misty-eyed it was so friggin' heartwarming! A short 3 minutes later and she went back over to him and promptly yanked his hair, and there was no check-in that time, so business as usual!

Sounds about right! Kids can be so adorable and so brutal. Mine are the same. Most of the time they're adorable though!

This actually happened to me. Many years ago I was going through a painful divorce. I lost my job and my home and I moved back in with my parents. One evening, just to get out of the house, I went to a public park close by that has a walking trail around a big pond. I was walking along, feeling pretty low, when two women headed toward me. They had a little girl walking with them. She was maybe two. As soon as that kid saw me, she broke into a run. She put her arms up so I could hug her. The two women were right behind her and they were smiling, so I gave the little girl a hug. I really think that was the best hug I've ever gotten. The two women said, "Aww! that's so sweet! Time to go!" The little girl did not want to let go of me! What's weird is there were lots of other people on the trail, but this girl made a beeline to me. She'll never remember it, but I'll never forget it.

Children can be so switched on to things that adults miss. I was stressed out about our finances at the start of the year and thought we might even lose our house. We have two young children. My eldest, who is just learning how to write, saw me having a private freak-out in the kitchen (I try to hide things like this but sometimes it's just too overwhelming) and she gave me a big kiss and ran upstairs. She came back a little while later with a note written in colourful pens saying "Its orit mama. Its orit if yu mayk a mistayk. I luv yu mama." And all of the money in the world couldn't buy the feeling that that brings. God bless my darling children.
