I'm not quite sure what uniform this is, but it looks a lot like the service uniform of a Lieutenant of Marines around the 1880s rather than the 1860s. I was right in front watching the entire surgery and delivery. They had to tell me to step back a little a couple of times so that they had enough elbow room to work on my late, lol.
