Well, the decision of Inalchuq, the governor of the Khwarazmian city of Otrar, to attack Genghis Khan’s trade caravan was pretty bad. He even re-routed a river to wipe out the village where the Shah was born, wiping it off the map. By 1120 there wasn’t much of anything left.

Chelsea - the problem is that when they purchased/installed the windmills they did not pay for the extra things that would make them work in cold weather. Same issue with the natural gas pipes in the state, they are not winterized/insulated so they froze. A windmill "out of the box" so to speak isn't automatically able to run in cold weather.

visited in 2019 and it was one probably the most heart-wrenching things i've experienced. you can literally feel the weight of everything that happened that day on your shoulders. it feels like you can't stand straight or take a full breath the entire time. exiting into the sunshine and finally taking a full breath almost feels wrong. it was really a heavy experience and so humbling.

I talk to myself constantly so my cat thinks it's normal to walk around making chatty noises all the time. If he's awake, he's talking. I think it's adorable but it drives my husband nuts, which has resulted in my husband yelling at him a lot (don't worry, the cat doesn't get upset). Now the cat thinks that's just how my husband talks, so whenever he sees him he yells at him really loudly in order to imitate him. My husband will walk in the room and my cat will stop whatever he's doing and just meow SO LOUDLY right in his face. It's absolutely hilarious, dude got exactly what he deserved.

The PEACEFUL protestors had every right to do so. Just because someone thinks differently than you does not necessarily racist, facist, evil, of lesser intelligence or importance. I am sick of this divisiveness. The divisiveness is a large part of what is fueling this. If you are are contributing to this divisiveness, you are just as guilty. The lawbreakers deserve it. Just because these guys were at the Capitol doesn’t mean that they rioted or broke the law. Do I agree with their political beliefs? Not particularly or fully. I do believe those who stormed the building should be held accountable for their actions. However, I think people changing their political filter to “catch” someone is manipulative and the 21st century equivalent of nosy neighbor peeking from behind curtain really hoping to catch some suspicion behavior. I am all for holding people accountable, but just because someone is conservative and/or was in DC doesn't mean that they were involved in the riots. Of the tens of thousands of people who were there only a fraction of them were actually breaking the law. Is it right to target people and waste FBI resources on those who just happened to be peacefully protesting? People are so quick to jump on others - did anyone read the story of the IL firefighter who was called out as being there when in fact he was over 600 miles away - just because a photo kind of looked like him? His life is ruined because someone didn't bother to check facts before they started posting all over the internet. I get the outrage, and I am right there with you that people need to be held accountable, but don't let this become the new equivalent of "walking while black" - it sets a dangerous precedent.

Here is my problem with this - the STATES are responsible for the administration of elections. If you are having to wait this long that is a failure of your state, but in no way is indicative of the way it is everywhere. I have lived in multiple states and not once have I ever had to wait more then 10 minutes. I wait in line far longer then that at the grocery store all the time. At the end of the day it comes down to mismanagement - not because of Trump. If you are waiting this long speak to your elected representatives about the need for more polling spots or better staffing to make the lines move faster. Inquire about becoming a poll worker to help.... Instead of complaining and finger pointing because things are broken where you are, be the change you wish to see.

I took all my gen ed classes at a community college which saves a crap ton of money, applied for literally HUNDREDS of scholarships, didn't choose the most expensive school out there, and budgeted in between semesters. I lived at home, bought my books used... but most importantly I READ THE PAPERWORK - the loan paperwork clearly outlines interest and payments, and if you cannot afford it then you JUST DON'T SIGN. Get creative, don't major in bullshit (I'm looking at you - yeah, you... the bonehead who chose to go to a $30k a year school to major in liberal arts or gender studies) It is possible to graduate with little to no debt if you are smart about it. I am happy to say that I will have ZERO debt when I am finished this semester.
