I don't understand why everyone automatically believes whatever these two say in an interview. Because they came and spoke against the Royal Family so therefore it must be true? I also hate how everyone wants to drag Prince Andrew into all of this. Yes, the Royal Family have been silent about allegations against him, but they have also been silent about Harry and Meghan. They have not made any public comments about them. Harry and Meghan are the ones holding interviews with the media and releasing public statements. The whole thing about Archie not receiving the title of Prince being against protocol is completely untrue. Archie's father is 6th in line to the throne. Archie is not owed the title of a Prince. Extended Royal Family members are also not entitled to security. They left the Royal Family to live the life they wanted. They could live peacefully and securely in private. But no, they just can't help themselves and choose to throw themselves and their children into the limelight again. I'm so sick of seeing these two. There are so much more important things going on in the world.

In some ways, I feel sorry for Meghan, because being an American and a woman of color, joining the royal family must have been a culture shock. The amount of people going ‘but intersex people means there’s no sex binary’ are so exhausting. Sex is defined via gametes which is why we define sexes for everything that has gametes. So far not a single intersex individual has been found that produces a unique third type of gamete. Instead, most of them are infertile because of hormone issues or development of the sex organs issues. In the cases where intersex people are fertile, they produce one type of gamete that fits into the known male/female specifics, re: gamete size/mobility/number. We’ve not even managed to find a intersex person who ca do both types of gametes. The X/Y definition of sex is not universal and imagine science is well aware of that and thus has ANOTHER definition that so far fits everything from plants over insects to humans. TL;DR stop conflating gender and sex and intersex conditions which come with varying degrees of medical issues are not some kind of "gotcha".

This is all true, yet at some point you have to say that either the societal definition of sex, the definition that says an Olympic event that results in a woman's world record score, is not a club that anyone can just decide they are or are not a member of. She looks very offputting. humans, like many creatures strive to be more attractive to the opposite sex. Its natural and promotes the proliferation of our species. She is not maintaining her eyebrows and mustache to rage against modern beauty standards, she is probably doing it because she enjoys the attention she gets for her "bravery" yet she wears make up, has earrings, probably wears nice dresses on occasion, maybe carries a nice purse. All things that people subconsciously or consciously do to appeal to societal beauty standards. Its nature and there is nothing wrong with it.

I can too, kinda, but let’s try to see where Si is coming from. I think what she may mean is that as you get older, all that bîtching and complaining about the same issues with your same partner becomes old and immature. People who talk bad about their partner to their friends are not creating a stable basis for friendship, and they’re hurting their romantic relationship too. It isn’t a good thing at all. And to sit there ruminating constantly with your friends is boring, toxic and not even that friendly. Friends need common interests and other things to discuss besides personal problems.

I know my opinion here is going to be the unpopular one, but I think is all bs pop psychology, and simplistically sexist. The view that men can't have deep emotional connections with other men doesn't sound like me or most other men I know. This view of men sounds like the stereotype of men from an 80's sitcom.

Most women I know roll their eyes when they hear „friendzone“. What I want women to know is that the word „friendzone“ is not and never was about male entitlement. It simply means that you fell in love with a person you became friends with and that feeling isn‘t mutual. You don‘t want to lose the friendship, hence you are stuck in a zone that neither one of you is really comfortable with. I‘m hesitant to make new female friends that I also find attractive because I tend to fall in love with women I‘m really comfortable with. I dont choose this and I can’t change it.

Really it's the fault of the patriarchy? If anything it's the lack of patriarchy e.g. lack of father figures that lead men to get emotionally attached to women that use them as emotional tampons. Fortunately there's lots of older figureheads on the internet teaching young bucks how the real world works.

Also, it amazes me that this womansplaining article leaves out the fact that not only does the guy friend not want to be just friends because he has the natural biological free will not to want to waste investing his emotional time and energy on a woman he's not having sex with, because realistically that's not how he's wired, nor do most men want to be unwired from their normal natural role, which is to leave the cave, go kill something, cook it, and have sex to reproduce. For millennia biology wired women to nurture children and other family members and act as the glue to hold families together, while men went out to sacrifice their health and risk their bodies to provide for the family. Also left out of the article is that not only does the guy that's being "friend zoned" have the right not to be treated like his needs don't matter, or he shouldn't have to put up with a woman sending mixed signals because of her lack of ability to see her own failure to communicate.

I’m sorry, but adult women do not spend their time telling other women about their relationship and emotional problems. You’ll soon alienate people if you do that too much. The women who do that are avoided. That’s why women go to counsellors. It’s probably why they are FOUR TIMES more likely to attempt suicide than men.
