Neither of my parents got their names on the invites. We am we’re 23 year old grown adults with our own home and a child and we paid for our wedding ourselves in it’s entirety so we got to invite people no one else.

I worked at a popular bakery. If you have a good cake recipe you won’t be able to tell the difference between a fresh or previously frozen cake. If a lone cake maker has 20 weddings on a weekend, they cannot bake and decorate them all the day before. If you freeze it fresh, it will taste fresh. Good luck trying to cut a delicate full sheet cake into layers without it breaking into pieces. Bakery secrets!

In a restaurant, the price of a fish is three times the cost of the actual ingredients. At least. Many people think it is a rip off, but the restaurant has to pay the rent, the bills, the salaries, taxes, etc. If you are too lazy to cook or to learn to prepare decent meals and you have to order food, you must pay for all these things.

Also, the problem with very restrictive diets is that they teach your body how to survive with less calories, so your metabolism gets slower and slower, making it more difficult every time you try... and fail. Its normal levels can be altered by situations like insomnia and stress. Gaining/losing weight is not only a problem of willpower or lack thereof. Obviously discipline is necessary, but there's also also a physiological component that can't be solved by "willpower", as many idiots seem to believe. It would be like asking a diabetic person to stop being diabetic just by thinking positively.

I was thinking exactly that. Not so much "educate", but teach your child slowly and patiently, and be aware of your child's needs and fears. I've seen parents nearly force a child on rides as a "joke" or because they want to go on that ride themselves, without thinking it can be terrifying for the child.
