The moment the CEOs of some tech companies and chief editors of some magazines realized that rage and misery drew traffic was a dark day for the internet. Let’s face it, scrolling your feed is rarely fun or uplifting anymore so it’s always good to know that there are still enclaves of positive vibes out there.
The "Wholesome Memes" Twitter account is just that, a page dedicated to sharing cute moments, happiness, and positive energy. So if you are in the middle of a rainy day, either literally or figuratively, get comfy, scroll through, upvote your favorites, and be sure to comment your thoughts below.

Both the “mascot” for the page and many of the posts here feature dogs and puppies, as ambassadors of wholesomeness and downright cuteness. This is not a mistake or happy accident, we as human beings do really find a lot of joy in dogs and puppies in particular. It’s not surprising that “puppy dog eyes” as a phrase features so heavily in our lexicon.
A casual glance at wolf anatomy will show that they do not actually possess “puppy dog eyes,” Instead, this trait was both intentionally and probably unintentionally selected by humans because, at the end of the day, it makes us happy.
It always amazes me how animals, particularly dogs and cats tolerate children. They obviously recognise them as young, and make allowances for them.
It’s not just dogs and puppies that get all the cuteness points, deer, cats, and a whole plethora of baby animals all fall into this category as well. We as humans tend to prefer “cute” animals to such a degree, that they are often more studied and well-known by most of the population due to overexposure. In other words, “Bambi” may have not been as popular if the titular character was, for example, a young tortoise.
What's there to make fun of? Cake? Check! Bulbasaur? Definitely Check! If only I had an Abra cake myself but kudos to mum for nailing it :-)
My daughter graduated high school in 2011 and wanted a "Nyan Cat" cake. I did my best and used a real PopTart for part of the decoration. At that time we barely had two dimes to rub together, but she really appreciated my homemade graduation cake. I was happy because I raised a good person.
Definitely something to be proud of. It's a labor of love and I know that too well.
I believe that your mom did a pretty good job with your cake. That is a pretty good looking Bulbasaur.
Reminds me of my boyfriend--who's 37 wanting a Ninja Turtle themed birthday. His brothers went HARD on that cake of all four turtles coming out of the sewer. turtles-64...de2d7d.jpg
I had a caterpillar cake for mine. Nothing wrong with it at all. In fact, I'm kind of jealous.
Many of these ideas serve to remind us that the world isn’t all bad and isn’t exclusively defined by what we see in front of us on a screen. This is vital to remember because enough bad news and negativity can make a person feel hopeless and depressed. Hope is more than just a positive emotion, it has direct benefits for people’s psychological, mental, and even physical well-being.
Hope, generally independent of circumstances, is vital in a person’s recovery from illness and injury. While it’s not exactly possible to “will '' oneself to health, the belief that recovery is possible is connected with the mind’s ability to cope, and stress levels, which all ultimately do have some effect on the person’s health. Hope has also been shown to reduce PTSD symptoms in veterans, for example.
I stopped believing in Santa when I was 3 lol. It seemed incredibly unrealistic to me as a little kid
It’s not surprising that hope features as a major theme in film and literature, as well as major world religions. Faith, after all, is the hope that something will happen without hard evidence. From “A New Hope” to Aesop's fables, hope has found a way into many of our stories, both as a feature of a character's belief system and as a lesson for the viewer or reader.
Both knowingly and unknowingly, people have been searching for things that make them smile and create some feeling of hope. You’ve probably encountered a meme, post, or comment that uses some permutation of the phrase “Faith in Humanity Restored,” which tends to feature decapitations of human ideas and actions that showcase the best in us. This meme originated in 2000 and is still going strong, so that’s saying something.
Throughout the early 2010s, it was an entire genre of internet content, where people would find and spread stories of positivity, where humans would go out of their way to, for example, rescue stranded animals and raise funds for good causes. These days, this sort of content might even seem downright strange, as it’s just an endless parade of people doing good things without clout chasing or “discourse.”
If interested, this is Fernando Botero's "Sailor Boy", painted in 1969. Here is the full image. 1976301-91...548975.jpg
Can you really 3D print wood? How? (legit question, I have no idea)
Another good reason to keep this sort of content in the forefront of one's mind is that we have this annoying predisposition to remember negative emotions longer than positive ones. Sure, it helps with abiding predators and looking for signs of particularly long winters, but, like general health and hygiene, it’s important to take steps to ensure that you get a good dose of dopamine and wholesomeness as well. This is so delightful. Doggos and cattos make wonderful study buddies
Seems like an excessive use of force to me. That cat should lawyer up.
"911? My owner does not give me enough cheese. This is neglect and Mouse Protective Services should be contacted."

I have a 6yo doing the same thing to me rn. In his words “I just want to be with you”.
Saw one in the supermarket the other day - he smiled and wagged his tail at me, and walking away was one of the hardest things I've done in a while.
My beautiful, amazing, creative son has ASD and friends don’t really come easy to him. This got me right in the feels.
41-year-old me: Look at all my cool rocks! I've had this one since I was 7! And this one I just picked up off the driveway this morning! XD (I love rocks)

In case anyone is having a REALLY bad day, here is my old girl Wintressia in socks and a t-shirt! w1-64ba69d8c718f.jpg
This is my two cats. The bus is my black cat walking towards me when I offer a morsel of food to her. The train is my male tuxedo, who is 1.5 times her weight and size XD Of course, my tux would get his OWN morsel of food as soon as my void ate hers, but his one braincell (he has it on loan from the orange cats) does not allow him to realize this.
How has the dog captured theEXACT face of mother's everywhere.... I feel like I need to go hide iny room rn...
What happens if I do wish to meddle in the affairs of the dragon? 🤔
If you have a cat at home, you are winning at life. Forget about insta filters
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, just pee on it and walk away.
I would never let the water bowl of my pet go COMPLETELY empty. That puppy is one busy day away from dehydration.
Hell nahh! I guess that's job security for me though but damn that's rough
im doin this right now at 1:33 in the morning 😭 wish me luck guys
My 11th grade yearbook picture. The photographer was being really overly perky and annoying and treating us like five year olds. So I glared at him. Then I smiled. Pictures come back, I'm glaring. That photographer did not care. Its perfect. It was in the yearbook. I still have it on my phone 20 years later so everyone can laugh at it.
We've got a lot of large orb-weavers with their webs in the backyard at night
Me to my friends whenever they say they’re not as good as they are
I had a great teacher for both grade 4 and 5! Though it was weird that so many students thought that he wasn't a good teacher or that he wasn't teaching well, just because he was making learning fun.
This cat gets more done than me. I'm sitting on my bed rn instead of doing my laundry 😭
I would seriously pay money to hear Pedro Pascal read the back of a video game box.
I never leave the house without a top-of-the-head smooch to both cats.
Was I supposed to get this subtext from every positive covid rapid test I had during the pandemic?..
Me and my friend are both anime nerds so we would listen and singalong to vocaloid, and stuff from our favorite fandoms ddlc, fnaf, maybe mr. Hopp's Playhouse
YOU HEAR THIS PANDAS? ME. AND YOU. THIS. I LOVE YALL ❤
I wish boredpanda would fix their image box and stop cropping things.
The cropping of the images can get a tad annoying.. hide-and-s...b3-png.jpg
I love the coolaid and heres the thing didn't try one of those until a few months ago
I now love all people! Time to decapitate them and display their severed heads for others to admire them before the decay becomes unappealing.
Bored Panda needs more content like this! None of the depressing rubbish. I'm going to start a campaign to abolish the dumb, clearly fake AITA posts! Who's with me?
Why are most of the Photos Cropped and you cant see the actual content?
