When I was 7 months pregnant with my boy I went to hospital for a severe preeclampsy. They did a C-section a week after because it went really bad. My son was born premature and at no time I feared for him. I knew for sure that he would be fine, and so was he. Less than 2 kg, but no oxygen needed, nothing. Healthy baby.

And your brain is lying to you as you shake your head "no" to every single statement I just made. Depression changes our perceptions so we think we're seeing things more "realistically" but we're not. We just aren't. I've been there. I have some idea of how you're feeling right now- thought not entirely, because I've not walked in your shoes. The fact that you said this online means that, even if it's in some very small way, you don't want to die. You wanted someone to notice. Even if it's just a tiny part of your brain that wants to live- you have that desire. Please please please reach out. There are hotlines. I've called them. If you don't want to call the hotline, that's okay too- but talk to someone. Don't stay in the echo chamber of your own dark thoughts. Praying for you <3
