The police "Would" be all over it but unfortunately there are many cases where they give up looking. There was one case where police were called to a home of a man who wasn't allowed to be around children, and his "wife" (actually the girl he kidnapped) answered the door with her 3 children (yes they were actually her children- she'd been kidnapped for 10 years) and the police thought nothing of it and left the home. 13 years later she escaped and was found. There are WAY too many cases that get forgotten or unsolved.

One of the friends of friends drank a little too much of the strong Munich beer before dinner and started snapping her fingers at the server. We were mortified and apologized to him. He was gracious and laughed at off. A few minutes later, he asked her what she wanted to eat. When she didn't look up, he snapped his fingers at her. She got mad. We all thought it was hilarious.
