The problem is, those who get infected are not just the stupid morons. They infect those who are at risk because of their jobs/ compromised health situation/ just because they somehow come into contact with the aforementioned morons. If only those who refuse masks die, then at least it's the result of their own stupidity.

Why all the downvotes for the comment about the person who disagrees? Yes there are similarities, not it is not the same. Ask anyone with a dog and a child they will tell you the same. It doesn't invalidate the work needed to raise and train a puppy or keep your dog happy. It just is not the same on the long run. It's okay to disagree with other people's opinions, we don't need to be jerks about it.

The comment is definitely tone-deaf, but consider the fact that a lot of celebrities have loads of money but no ability to do anything. They can't style themselves, drive themselves, cook for themselves (and a whole long list of other stuff) without having a whole team of people behind them. It's quite sad really because they're nothing without their money.

I applaud people who continue to work during the Covid crisis, especially people who keep services such as supermarkets, eateries and transportation services running. These workers don't get extra pay where I'm from; they're lucky if they're not sacked because their shops have less business and can't afford (or can't be bothered) to keep them anymore. You're supposed to consider yourself lucky that you still have a job, is able to work from home. "Hazard pay" is unheard of.

If the kid were a toddler I would've said the woman perhaps overdid it (although being a mother of two toddlers, I'm certain neither of them would have done such a thing). But this kid is 10 or older! And the woman only poured water on him, which was what he did to the cat. Don't see the issue here.
