Spanish woman here.. as of today, most people don't have a siesta anymore. It's mostly elderly people and little children who still do. We do, however, have dinner at 10pm (personally, I eat at around 10.30/11 and wouldn't change that for anything in the world). The first fact is correct. Many spaniards have dinner quite late, my parents tend to do it between 9.30 to 10.30 depending on the day. Not all do it (I dont) but its quite normal. Partying until 4am if a working day? That is not normal at all unless you are very young. Most people drinking in the streets during the week are teenagers and university students (normally not the good students).

Yes and no. We do traditionally sleep siesta after lunch. But nowadays most people do not do it during the week because they dont go home for lunch or their break is too short. In big cities barely anybody does it if they work. In small villages sometimes people still close for a long time at midday for siesta but its very rare now.

I spent 2 months in Tokyo. I was overtired (2 babies under 2 with me) and I accidentally left my purse in the laundromat and didn't realize it until a few hours later. I panicked, and went to the hotel concierge to see if they could assist me in calling them. The lady walked me to the laundromat, they were closed so she called the owner, who came over to unlock it and take me in. My purse hadn't been touched and was still sitting on the shelf that I left it on. Japan was one of the most amazing places I've visited as far as customer service and cleanliness is concerned. They go way above and beyond. I also noticed that there's no such thing as a "McJob" there. Every person takes pride in their work.

If this is a nursing home, there would be a lot of risk for the elderly patients with any type of cognitive issues. These people aren't stupid, they've been on this earth nearly a century and they deserve the best care and our respect.

Some people in wheelchairs have limited control over their movement, i.e. someone with muscle spasms. I could see it happening someone could get their arm stuck in the wheel.

Bride Doesn't Want To Force Androgynous Niece To Wear A Dress To Her Wedding, Starts Family Drama

I’m 61 now, and was both a tomboy and a girly-girl as a child. I would climb trees, ride my bicycle on dirt tracks that the boys built on vacant lots, and do my fair share of fighting, then go home and play dress ups—-all my Halloween costumes were feminine, I especially liked historical costumes—-and also play with dolls and makeup. I was also part of a 6th grade protest by female students to break the dress code and be allowed to wear pants—-and we WON! Remember, it was 1971-1972, and that was a real accomplishment back then. Even as an adult, I have always been a mix of what were/are still considered gender norms, and never saw anything unusual about that.
