It couldn't be that a lot of women don't work because there are only so many jobs available during school hours and put of school care is either expensive, not fit for purpose, or both, and a lot of grandparents continue working longer so not able to help with before and after school care.

Ultra dumb, of course, to put it the way he did. Better to shut up and say to himself "It's good to take some things slow and easy."
