There is a severe misunderstanding and underestimation of ray-finned fish and cartilaginous fish intelligence. Amphibian and non-avian reptiles too. They are sentient beings with impeccable memory, physiology and processing abilities, some which surpass ours. There's no such thing as an intelligence "scale", there is only a spectrum.

Oh dear gods, as someone who studies ethology (behaviour or animals, humans included, in their natural habitats), zoology in general and has a lot of experience with this sort of stuff, I cannot put a big of an emphasis on this to explain how absolutely stupidly INCORRECT this is. This is unbelievably harmful, unethical, baseless and blatantly incorrect. There are many socio-economical reasons as to why specific nations with specific races score lower and that's because of bad social conditions they live in. Intelligence isn't even a f*****g scale, it's an extremely complex stat tree which allows different organisms (as well as individuals) to process things differently. Some organisms are specialised for specific processing while others surpass them in other aspects. Humans aren't "the most intelligent", let alone a freaking race of humans. I could write you pages upon pages on this and why this is utterly disgusting, this individual has just shown how uneducated they are.

If someone claims "men can't control their urges" or "(non-human) animals operate on instinct", run RUN RUN as fast as you can.

Not even sex in humans is binary due to mutations, and gender expression which is a SOCIAL CONCEPT is far more complex than that. There are more than two genders, non-human animals express themselves in different ways too and they too have their own cultures. This person just clearly isn't educated.

The word "equal" here is unnecessary. There are physical and biological differences between male, female, intersex and numerous other sexes, but not one single individual fits in the same physical definition box neatly. There are female individuals who are larger and stronger than common males (I fit in that category) due to more natural testosterone. There are some males who are more "traditionally feminine" as well. And then there are more differences between gender expression, but the word "equality" is about offering proper opportunities, treatment and rights. There is literally no need for the word "equality" here unless this person really means that there are inferior and superior sexes which is questionable.

You would be surprised at the intelligence of some fish simple betta fish will learn tricks like following lasers and jumping through hoops for snacks recognize up to 10 faces understand environment changes(smaller tank then used to or no decorations makes it very sad) recognize 10 faces and 100 words. Please people start treating your Betta fish better stop with the small cubes and no decorations it's extremely abusive like being in a jail cell for you nothing to look at and everything to disappoint you.
