Load More Replies...My son was behind someone in line at Walmart who didn't have enough money for his candy bar and the cashier was like "Really? You don't have $1.25?" loudly in front of everyone! Luckily my son is a good guy and bought it for him and told off the cashier. How rude!
That is rude and unnecessary. Good on your son for showing her the errors of her ways. Sick of these cashiers who think they're so much better than the poor people they serve.
Load More Replies...Me literally every time I go to the store. That anxiety is gonna put me out one of these days.
Even when you don't expect a problem, it's still a relief when it goes through!
That feeling when the last of your 10 credit cards is approved - but only because you had to put half of the groceries back.
There's been times I swore I had enough in my account and then some point along the way from my home and to the store, to the till, the bank decides it wants my money and I get declined. Or when I use my credit card, that shows money available but declines because they failed to say the money is still being processed. I hate banks.
…what is the cashier pulling out of his pocket in the second panel? :O
And the security officer is preparing to pull his out too. Neither seem necessary to have been added to this drawing.
Load More Replies...Or the bank declines it for unusual use... Yeah, the unusual use is that I'm actually spending money.. (happened to my husband)
Yeah. I get paid once a month, so my account goes from really high to really low pretty quickly. EVERY month the bank (BOA) decides that a regular payment (or a few) won't be paid because of "unusual activity."
Load More Replies...I really thought I was going to spend the next half hour putting things back
I think it's just as bad if you have enough money to cover the purchase, but the card reader doesn't like your card, so you have to either get cash or pay at another terminal. Happens at my work alot
😂 this definitely me even though I check my bank before I buy anything.
PLEASE, PLEASE WILL YOU ALL SPEND MONEY ON BLACK INK. I CAN'T READ THIS PALE GREY !!
I swear I could have thousands (lol) and I would still feel this stress.
Was going to say that I confused why the US uses credit cards so often, then I remembered they have to build up a credit score and it all makes sense now
"you offered 10 grand if someone could hand me in. I caught me, so where's my 10 grand?"
My grandmother does that despite having plenty of money, she also cuts up toothpaste and lotion tubes to get it all. She is the good kind of frugal, but I still wish she'd spend more money on herself.
This is probably lots of people that get their monthly check, then gotta wait 27 more days, while begging for money from everyone (noo I wasn’t talking about MIL🤨)
I used to avoid checking my bank balance. I knew that burying my head in the sand would do me no good, but I just couldn't bare to look.
I managed to get a good paying job once, but how did my debtors find out?
What you do is turn it around and one-up them with YOUR sad story about being broke XD
We all do this, dish detergent, laundry, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, just not to be wasteful and getting your money’s worth
I wish I were rich enough that the price of beef jerky didn’t feel like a put down
I’ve learned this the hard way, thanks hbo max combo , took me to 3 different websites to cancel
never sign up for overdraft protection! they charge you per transaction.
Well, I thought putting cute photos and videos on Youtube would pay better, but turns out the cat sees nothing of this money.
Massachusetts had a health insurance system for residents long before the Affordable Care Act. Mass Health helps low income residents; those with higher income can get insurance through Mass Connector. Everybody has access to healthcare. The system is far from perfect, but much better than what you describe.
Does anyone remember the times as a youngster panicking when you owed a friend £/$5. Oh - the good times.
I never ever take money from my kids. If grandparents gave it to them, it's theirs. But if they lose it, that's on them.
By the way we don't have a car anymore, but a saddle came free with the alpaca
This has never happened to me. For me it is - I haven't paid last month's debt yet. I'll sell my phone and computer so I can't be contacted.
I know he's a frog, but I didn't know Kermit live in a Toilet bowl. Maybe he never left home, and lived there as a tadpole.
Woohoo! We made it all the way down to the bottom. You must be as bored as I am! :D
Just buy a jar of Nescafe and add hot water. Cheap, but it's still coffee. Does the same job - gives you just enough energy from breakfast till you get to work. Then have another one. 9 or 10 of them a day should do the trick, and you'll save a fortune on expensive coffees.
He's nervously waiting for the dealer to come back to see if his finance was agreed or not.
Bill Gates left college and got Windows. I left college and got closed doors.
Looks like me realising my holiday/vacation is clearing the garage and working in the garden, instead of going somwhere hot and sunny. Trust me, that means a lot in Ireland, when you have spent the last 9 months enduring wind, cold rain and darkness. Ireland is not all green for no reason. To be so green, you need rain, and lots of it.
Please God, Please God, pleassse let there be a number in my account that doesn't have minus infront of it.
It's awful when cloud 9 returns back to hard mattress in the morning.
But In terms of stress or anxiety, we are plentiful. Minions be like children - they don't care that you have no money.
Definitely true. Opened my bank statement today and my eyes instantly filled with water.
Welcome to the end!! If you have made it this far, I salute your boredom
Yup, that is how most of us live. The first of every month I have money transferred to my savings account and take out $50 cash. Every month I hope the money will still be there at the end of the month. But without fail there is an unexpected expense. I should be thankful I have emergency money set aside, but I feel like a failure since I cannot save. Most Americans have less than $400 saved, not because we are lazy or irresponsible; our incomes don't cover our expenses. Credit cards and loans make it even more difficult. I was forced to declare bankruptcy because of excessive medical bills. No loans or credit cards since. I watch every penny. The next generations have it much worse. Dental care is a luxury we can't afford. New, better medications aren't affordable, so again we do without. There is something very wrong with our financial system.
Watching retirement account dwindle down to scary amount. Will it last???
