This Twitter Page Is Dedicated To Jokes And Memes Many Of Us Will Probably Relate To (50 Pics)
We turn to the internet for many different things. Takeaway suggestions? Yep. Carrot cake recipe? A-ha. To lift yourself up on a hard day? Sure. And sometimes, the internet becomes somewhat of a mirror of ourselves. Where we look at the posts surfing there, cringe, laugh, and go ‘Yep, been there, done that.’
This is what the Twitter page laconically named “Relate” is all about. You look at the Tweets and find the hilariously relatable situations and scenarios that hit close to home. The page is new, launched in September 2021, but with the rapidly growing audience of 61k followers, the chances are we are going to see a lot more relatable content.
Without further ado, I leave the stage to tweets and memes that poke fun at universally recognizable moments that are only human.

The relatable tweets Twitter account follows the internet’s obsession with absurd jokes, relatable memes, and digital humor. So in order to find out more about what makes such seemingly frivolous content so popular on the internet, we spoke with Lina Survila, the chief editor at Abstract Stylist. “Memes have become an internet culture, but they are also a tool of communication,” Lina said and added that a lot of content on the internet “is created because of the memes or are the memes.”
The success of memes may be explained by the fact that they help us communicate our emotions as well as to express more complex thoughts, ideas and scenarios. “Sitting behind the screen and trying to express your emotions might be difficult. That's why emojis and memes are there for us. This kind of content can easily increase your engagement on social media as a lot of users really appreciate a good laugh or an easy, understandable way of communication,” Lina explained.

Someone once pointed out that when you revisit cartoons you loved as a child, you suddenly see where the "villain" or the overprotective parent is coming from. I believe the example given was the Little Mermaid - as a kid, you agree with Ariel; as an adult, you totally get where King Triton is coming from!
“Memes can explain a lot of difficult things and help easily express your beliefs. Being funny with the memes can bring you a lot of attention. E.g., talking about some serious things like health, memes are very useful in describing why it's important to do your regular checkups,” she said.
Funny tweets are also the perfect type of content for sharing with our friends on the internet. “They're short, easy, and straight to the point. Sometimes they're used by others to immortalize the author's way of thinking. The famous ones bring so much attention that they become t-shirts, fridge magnets, or even posters.”

One week into getting COVID, even this is no longer an option; I used to look forward to going to sleep, now I don’t even have that solace. Every hour of every day COVID’s been kicking the f ucking s hit out of me. Everything’s extremely painful, physically, mentally whatever. I had a shower yesterday, that was a MASSIVE victory.

I think thats how it is with most people. Its impossible to be happy all the time... sure, for some life is harder and some have it easier - but i will never believe the myth about having a "happy life" (as a constant state of being happy). Just happy moments.

I think most people sound really extroverted online because they dont have the energy to be like that in real life. Texting "HIIII!!!!" online is much easier than saying it irl

NOT TO SOUND LIKE A MUM BUT.... It is generally advised not to use your phone right before bedtime, since the blue rays it emits slows down the production of melatonin, the hormone that helps you to sleep. Whereas, the production of melatonin speeds up in the dark (hence, its name: hormone of the darkness)

Anyone also find they tend to be in the way of people when they think no one else is around? Like, you try on shoes in a empty aisle, or browse a magazine at a closed checkout lane, and people will come up to you out of nowhere and ask you to move for them?
