I really don't understand how this is still an issue. I've heard this complaint pretty much my whole life, and it's not like there aren't women designers and manufacturers, so why hasn't this been resolved yet? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Somewhat related: why are women's wallets bigger than men's wallets? Or to be clearer, why they don't fold? In my whole life i've might seen two or three that folded.

Where do I put my cell phone?

The reason behind this frustrating madness is two-fold. One, larger pockets creates bulges, throwing off the smooth silhouette. Two, purses/hand bags. Designers assume every woman carries one. I always increase these mini-pockets with the excess material I have on hand. But then, I know how to sew, and that's a dying skill.

It's a catch 22 situation, They give us tiny pockets because we carry Handbags, We carry handbags because they give us tiny pockets,.

Guess what, Walmart's George women's jeans have nice big pockets! I don't know how much they charge, I found out by accident getting jeans for $7.95 @ big box outlet. But I have to assume they are cheaper than many brands & I love the pockets! The logic is that most women carry purses I think. I can't because of should issues & memory problems. I use a f***y pack.

I actually bought a pair of women's shorts that had big pockets. It's only taken them something like 70 years to get this idea through their blocky heads.

Easy: stop buying pants that have small pockets, even it that means buying "men's jeans". If enough women did that, manufactures would be happy to supply that demand. Keep buying the small pocket jeans and they'll keep making them.

Guys need longer pockets so they can “quietly” scratch stuff. That’s all I can say.

Guys pockets even sometimes have a extra pocket in the front pocket that is the perfect size for cc card, atm card, room card ect....

Its because Womens cloth is usually tighter so it would look weird to have big pockets.

Is this an American thing? Because my pockets aren't that small. When I go for short walks with my dog, I can easily fit my phone in one pocket, and a packet of tissues, my keys, my inhaler, and the poop bag dispenser in the other.
