I loved this piece. It is a perfect example of male fragility. The idea that men are outraged by violent, empowered women on-screen, while finding media violence against women palatable infuriates me. The hypocrisy is so blatant. I witnessed a flame war on Reddit in response to a posted video where a woman admitted to being sexist against men. She was merely stating her opinion that she didn't like men "as a whole". Men responded by calling her a whore and with death threats. Disliking men as a group does not equate to advocating for violence against men, yet the men responded as if it did. Male fragility endangers women.

I don't know where, but somewhere something went wrong in the upbringing or imprinting of such people. How can you be offended by a pack of tampons? The only reasonable reaction would have been to explain to the male colleague that he should please grow up. Shortly thereafter, a tampon vending machine should have been installed right next to his locker, from which hygiene articles can be obtained free of charge. Because that's how it should be. I will never understand why people, men but also women, can feel ashamed or offended by feminine hygiene articles or by natural bodily functions. For me a question of education, because such a thing is impressed and instilled in people. In 2021, it should be long past time to change that.

I think it's ok to have these kinds of posts, since there are also plenty of posts about children as well. But the content shouldn't be so heavily focused on bashing parents and pretending childfree people are the happiest of all. I have so many friends with kids and 99% of them happy as can be. I know very, very few people who seem to regret having kids and it's usually ones who were pushed into parenthood "because that's just what you do". So I'm all for normalising being childfree, especially because women can be denied medical care such as sterilisation, because their doctors think they will change their minds. But please stop competing over who is happier (same for parents). Live your life as you see fit and let others do the same.
