My two year old boy loves Elsa from Disney's Frozen. He's TWO and she's a strong female role model. Honestly Elsa got him through teething and painful growth spurts and fussy car rides. So for his birthday last year I got him an Elsa shirt (from the girl's section) that was blue and had Anna and Elsa on it. He loves that shirt and wears it all the time. I'm not gonna tell him he can't because he's a boy. That's stupid.

I drive a car in the winter time in NW PA with the lake effect snow and have no problems. The small amount of times you actually need the truck bed as opposed to just using it (my wife's van hauls plenty of things easily and a kayak can go on a roof) doesn't justify it. The only times a truck makes sense is for business purposes (i.e construction, maintenance etc) or if you own something that requires that kind of towing power. Yes trucks are cool, but they are mostly unnecessary for the average person that buys them.
