We’ve Been Creating Calendars “The Kittendales” For 16 Years To Raise Money For A Cat Shelter In Hull, MA (22 Pics)
The Kittendales project was conceived in early 2007 when the board of directors at Hull Seaside Animal Rescue was brainstorming on how to raise money for their cat shelter. Chris Crotty, one of the founding members of the shelter, decided it would be a good idea to put together a calendar of men and cats. The concept was proposed by Susan Davis, a board member, to me, Joanne Berman, a photographer. I volunteered my services and together we launched “Kittendales”! In the spring of 2007, our hunt for a few good men began! The response from the guys was overwhelming. Their willingness to donate their time and desire to be a part of this project for the benefit of the kitties was extraordinary!
We've been raising money for 16 years for a no-kill cat shelter in Hull, MA.
HSAR has found “forever homes” for hundreds of cats since 2000! Thank you for your continued support over the years.

One of the HSAR’s board members suggested doing a calendar to raise money, and the idea came up for guys and kittens. As a photographer, I was asked to do the photography for it. I am also a volunteer at Hull Seaside Animal Rescue in Hull, MA.

The Kittendales has always been a grassroots project. We find guys by just asking mostly! Or they are sent to us by others, or a friend of a friend, etc. Obviously, they need to be somewhat local or willing to travel to us. What can be challenging is coordinating schedules, all while we have HSAR kittens to photograph. Plus it is an all-volunteer project.

WOW Chad´s tattoos... I´m a coward and have always been when it comes to tattoos, they´re there forever unless you remove them with laser, but then you get a big scar that lasts forever.
We’ve raised thousands of dollars for this small no-kill cat shelter in this Massachusetts beach town. 100% of the money raised goes directly to the day-to-day care of the cats until they find their forever homes. The shelter also may use the money for vet bills, which are sometimes quite high.

I like of this post tha (so far, I´m only on pic # 10 right now, none of the guys has a "forest" on his breast because I find that disgusting, even Jon Bon Jovi who always had one too removes the "forest" in the meantime, which makes him look even more sexy.

BTW, the Australian Firefigther Calender´s for sale too again yet, I heard it in the TV news a few days ago, one of the firefighters´s even from Germany, they saw him on Instagram, contacted him, he traveled "down under" and posed with rescued animals like a koala.

Please hold the cat correctly, you should always hold its butt too, otherwise the vertebraes might be damaged if you hold them under their front legs only too often.

Mai looks quite comfortable to me. A vet told me to hold our cat (who we rescued) that was thrown from a car breaking it diaphram. She said strecthing her out helped with the digestion. I had always cautioned the grandkids to support bottoms but I doubt very seriously that he would carry the cat in this position. I am so tired of all the policing that goes on.
