There was a guy from New Zealand who was fed up with Mormons ringing his bell at 8 on a Saturday morning. He and a friend went to Salt Lake City, wore white shirts, dark pants, and name tags. They armed themselves with The Origin of the Species, and started knocking on doors. Most people were marginally polite, but some definitely weren't. They got several lectures, and an older man chased them down the street with a broom. A young woman with four small children was so happy to have an adult to talk to that she agreed with everything he said. It was absolutely hilarious! BTW, I'm Mormon.
A woman showed up at my door once with a little girl, maybe 10 years old, and proceeded to tell me I was going to hell if I didn't convert to whatever belief she was spouting. I politely told her to get off my porch. I felt so sorry for that child.

I've had thousands of conversations about religion. Not a single one ever started with, "So let me tell you about the fact that I'm an atheist."
I have a customer who calls on the 1st of the month every month and he does at least 3 prayers in the phone call. It's so awful and awkward. Christians put people in such a position that even if you politely decline their "prayers," you're seen as the bad guy. I shouldn't have to be subjected to YOUR religion. That should be your own private business.
Not to mention knocking on your door in the middle of the dinner to ask you if you have heard the good news of atheism.
And I don't find agnostics sporting bumper stickers saying "Honk if you're so-so about Jesus."

Not because I disagree but because I’ve always agreed, never been patriotic, but it just breaks my heart that this country gets so so much wrong and I watch my loved ones have to suffer by its poor management. And the hating on Americans is so unhelpful. I get that there’s a loud minority that are incredibly obnoxious and inspire vitriol. But most of us are not like that and suffer under our government. Why hate on us when there’s little we can do? And to say look who we elected? We literally didn’t. The popular vote was not for Trump, but our messed up electoral system still put him in office.
