I felt betrayed by Gaiman. I loved his books, and took my husband to see Ocean at the end of the Lane, the day after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It was the last show we saw together and now that memory is soured.

I have seen many mice that my cats used to bring in (until I got a cat flap that locks when they have prey and built an escape route for the mice they drop) stand up and fight my cats. I used to rescue every single mouse I could and release it back into the woods, but I would especially want to rescue the ones that were brave enough to stand on their hind legs and battle my cat.
