Bone stretch varies greatly, but even in infancy the standard bone density protects from breaks unless the fall is greater than three feet. So if an adult falls face first into brick, we fall with a great deal more weight plus more height and since force equals mass times acceleration (accelerate through the fall), we hit much, much harder than a small child. But our skin’s tensile strength is the same. So, toddler face plants, they hop up and are perfectly fine-maybe they cry because they scared themselves, but the risk of injury is very low. Grown up face plants, they end up with injuries.

I agree with you but you have to understand our country was settled with guns. Guns are so intertwined in our foundation that it was almost inevitable that we would come to this. People from other countries can never understand the "gun culture" of Americans because it was part of the birth of the U.S. That's kind of my thought anyway...

Many years ago I did telephone support for a small (6 person) software company on the West coast. Support hours were given as 8-5 PT. An astounding number of East-coasters would call at 7:00am ET and get angry that we didn't answer the phone. I never met a west-coaster who didn't understand that by 2:00 everyone on the other coast had gone home, but the number of East-coasters who just didn't have the faintest grasp of time zones was terrifying.

Pretty common for building demolition. Hoisted up by a crane to demolish the building from the top down. The debris is run down a chute to ground level and hauled away. Doesn't tie up traffic and is much safer and cheaper than implosion.
