Large windmills are often built in places where there are little to no trees. Trees slow down/block the wind so the mills can't turn. Sometimes this is because they were chopped down but more often its because trees can't grow there. If you drive around the Western US, you will see wind farms on ridges spinning and making the world a better place. 1/2 mile away you'll see a farmhouse and its outbuilding surrounding on all 4 sides with trees. Trees don't naturally grow on large swaths of the plains (that's why they are called the plains and not the forests) so they have to be planted special. These special trees are planted to block the blowing snow and more importantly the wind itself. Hearing a 20 mph wind with rarely a day of rest can shatter your psyche. If you google Wyoming windsock you will see people actually use chains because the wind blows so hard and these special trees are strong enough to not be knocked over.

Wow, unfit to raise a pet? Who are you to judge the one person this so called "pet" has had in their life since they were born? This beautiful creature has no other person he would choose to be with. He's 14 years old. If it's the last thing I have a say in, I will give him the absolute best gift I can in his last days, the gift of not suffering. Given the opportunity, I would absolutely afford him that final, gentle dignity. How f*****g dare you judge me for choosing to not allow a sentient creature to suffer, physically, mentally or emotionally. This is what I have in my will too. My furball has no connection with anyone but me. He is 14 years old. I firmly that "going" with me, humanely, is the best, most gentle option. For those of you who disagree, would you rather a fur baby out on the streets, scrounging for food, warmth and shelter? Dodging death each and every day? Better they are put to sleep, crossing the bridge with the person who was honoured to have their presence than be tolerated by someone who doesn't want them.

There is no cool aura of the outlaw in this, it's just well-executed, professional selfishness, on the cost and damage of us all more often than not. We should get this straight, and instead of firing whistleblowers, fire those who installed the blowable whistle in the first place.
