Someone Asks What Facts Sound Comforting But Are Actually Highly Disturbing, And 30 People Deliver

Dunno about them, but I'd suggest moving towards that would be an improvement over moving towards the entirely unnecessary demise of the species and most of our fellow Holocene era compatriots. Also, that's an entirely false dichotomy, moving away from a system that monetizes survival (primarily for one single species) does not require reverting to a previous state where we discard all knowledge and technological progress. If that were true then we never would have reached the iron age, much less progressed beyond feudalism.

Wish I could upvote you again. The gap between the super-rich and the other 99% of humanity is immense and just getting bigger, thanks to rules made by those super-rich for those super-rich. When you start to see the numbers the inequity is staggering. Thank you for asking "why?". We need change.

Why? There is plenty of money to pay for the costs just sitting around in the pockets of corporations and billionaires. The assumption that things can't be done holds us all back and keeps us in the pockets of the rich.
