Do people not realize that being fat is unhealthy? It can kill you the same way drugs can kill you. When you see an anti-smoking ad do you think it's awful that they are shaming people who smoke? Yeah, it's unfortunate to be heavy but it's unhealthy and it's something that a person should work on the same way someone would work on drinking less or smoking less. Or we can just be over-sensitive babies about everything and encourage people to be fat because it's better for them to be dead than to feel bad enough to start working on themselves.

This is not ridiculous at all and merely reflects differing financial systems. There are no unified or flat taxes in the US. Sales taxes very from state to state, city to city and county to county. This is because unlike most other places on the planet, the US was intended to be a collection of independent states (think mini countries) with a central government only for oversight...however our traditional financial system has yet to catch up with the current form of government.

We are also not fussed about shoes inside (although this can depend on culture). Many countries in the northern hemisphere have winter snowfall so shoes are taken off to stop tracking snow and mud into the house, which makes sense. Southern hemisphere is less likely to do thos. The only time I would remove my shoes is if it's been raining and they are really muddy, or if I have worn them on the beach (unlikely) and they are sandy.

Um most Americans have kettles? I don't understand where you are getting your information from. Yes lots of us drink iced tea but lots of us drink hot tea as well. I have an electric kettle because I like tea over coffee.

I mean, I don't think it's fair to generalize everyone like that...America is such a melting pot of people that it's hard to have much an identity if you just say you are American. Plus even though some people do say that they or this or that without any connection to the county or culture, most people do have some connection. I'm the third generation of people in my family to live in America (grandparents immigrated) and we still eat the food, participate in holidays, and visit the country since it has lots of my family. I even speak a little bit of the language and am planning on learning more (and it's a HARD one to learn). It's the same for my other half too, even though I'm 4th generation on that side. You can't really assume that all of us are judgemental, hypocritical racists, can you?

Kind of depends for me. I normally go with natural looks, but every now and then I just want to do kind of creepy, dramatic looks. Like going for a gothic look or a dead girl kind of look. Sometimes it isn't about making myself look pretty as much as it about me wanting to look drastically different. Weird makeup was the reason why I got into makeup in the first place, but I do agree people look better when the makeup looks more natural.

As an American...I believe part of it comes from a sense of a shared experience (the tram/train) and genuine curiosity of the moment. I'm always interested in "Where are you going?" or "Where are you from"... if we're on the train together, we obviously have something in common. I was on a flight to Vegas and the guy next to me started talking to me when I pulled out a deck of cards.. and he taught me how to play a random table game. Now...given that... if their social cues are a no go, I don't start.

I am so pleased to see that the most of the make up was more on the natural side rather than the bright or dark eye shadows, ridiculous amounts of contouring, fake eyelashes etc. The make up was done nicely and gave most of these women a fresher look.

He said it looked just like a can of cat food. The restaurant only lasted a few months before going out of business.
