Let me see if I can explain this. In the U.S., there's a difference between bias and racism. Racism involves power. Saying white people have out-whited ourselves is bias. But it's not racism. Statements like that have no real power to make systemic change. In the U.S., white people are still disproportionately represented in leadership, we're disproportionately wealthly, we're disproportionately Fortune 500 CEOs, we're disproportionately unlikely to be victims of state-sanctioned violence, etc. An internet comment of "white people have out-whited ourselves" isn't going to change any of that. If it were flipped and said "Black people have out-Blacked themselves," that WOULD be racist because it echoes the racism that actually exists and actually impacts people's lives. There is no underlying systemic racism in the U.S. that discriminates against white people so "white people have out-whited ourselves" doesn't echo any of that. It's not racist.
