The “Weird stuff on official accounts” Facebook page is dedicated to cataloging and sharing the most unhinged posts made by companies and celebrities.

Load More Replies... Bored Panda got in touch with Tarren Brady, one of the admins behind “Weird stuff on official accounts” and he was kind enough to answer some of our questions. Naturally, we were curious to hear just how the group got started in the first place.
“As for inspiration on the creation of the group, none of the current admin team can answer that. Jack Goult created the group 6 years ago, but he has long disappeared and has not interacted in the group in years. Dominique and I ran the group by ourselves on and off for a while until I brought in the rest of the admins who are friends of mine and a team for another few groups we have together.”

One of my favorite college memories is watching my irate middle aged Indian classmate rip the PETA people a new one for using African ave imagery and Native American imagery on their promotion vehicle. Hearing her chastise them for using the imagery of people that DO NOT agree with their nonsense, and are most certainly NOT vegetarians, was pure gold.

Right. Now you have to work for many thankless, grouchy and irritating clients. Done this for years.
The group boasts membership in six figures, so we were curious to hear why Tarren thought so many folks were drawn to its somewhat unhinged content. “The main thing that keeps the group so active and engaging is some of the wild stuff posted by official accounts. Almost all posts in the group are submitted by group members.”

Background: 1) They're in Germany at a particular soccer match (Fortuna Düsseldorf vs FC Heidenheim 2021). While nobody there cares if they have a beer, they wouldn't be given such a large one. The stadium also serves a very popular apple spritzer (Apfelsaftschorle) that's basically apple juice & carbonated water. 2) Sadly those aren't measuring cups - they're not even considered reusable though they're a perfect candidate and are sturdier than their American counterparts & thus more plastic. However... a couple of years ago the league & stadiums all agreed to begin using reusable bio-plastic cups & avoid the "disposable" ones. They're mostly transitioned. Places include public access cup washing stations, you get a discount for refilling rather than a new cup, etc.

Pssh my mom was 30 when she had me (in 1980). She and my dad had been married for eight years by that point, and I’m the oldest of two. Minus a few years, my SIL’s family is the same. I know “birthing age” has gone up in general, but it’s not like everyone got married and immediately had kids a few decades ago.
