We all have weird quirks that are fairly uncommon, to say the least. For the fear of being judged, we keep these weird things to ourselves; however, that doesn't stop us from being curious about what others have to hide.

So, to indulge in this secret knowledge, X (formerly Twitter) user @drakesbrother started a thread asking people to share their bad habits, weird confessions, and interesting things they do. The thread was quickly flooded with the strangest habits.

Turns out, lots of us have funny habits that make perfect sense to us but might seem odd to others. Something like when someone has to read the last page of a book before they can start it from the beginning. One thing’s clear: what seems like quirky habits to some of us is just another day in the office for others.

Some confessed to measuring how long something will take in songs, others said that each time they get in their car, they make sure no one is sitting in the back seat. While some of these weird things to do sound a little bit odd, let’s not pretend you don't relate.

Scroll below for the list of confessions from regularly weird people, and don't forget to share your own strange habits in the comments.

I think in Oxford Universities (or somewhere else) scientists have created a room that filters 99.9 percent of all sound! People have only lasted 40 minutes in there. You can hear you breathing in and out, then blood rushing through your brain as your ears listen harder.

I'm just the opposite. I love it when I'm home alone and I can hear the birds in the woods around my house. Of course that would mean none if my neighbors is using a lawn mower, leaf blower or buzz saw. Those noises annoy me so much I secretly wish there was one day a week you're allowed to have noise pollution. Hearing the birds sing is much more pleasant.

I like “house noises “. Like heating clicking on and off, fridge making a noise, car driving past, clock ticking (if it’s not too loud), rain on the roof, wind in the eaves... Complete silence feels very oppressive indeed. It’s like being underwater. You start hearing your own body instead and that’s annoying.

When there are no other noises, all I can hear is the low humming in my ears. If I open my mouth really wide, I then hear a hissing noise for a few seconds. It's weird. I thought the humming was the ventilation system in our house, until I went on holiday and could still hear it.

Sounds as if you may have acute hearing! When I don't have some type of soft background sound, I awaken to my cat walking on the hardwood floors! And yes, I'm also able to hear the "phantom phone" ringing when it's too quiet - it really bugs me.

I remember the first time I realized that complete silence is uncomfortably “loud.” I was about 6 yrs old and sleeping over at my cousins’ house. I was lying in bed awake when I became aware of the noisy silence. I started crying because it triggered my anxiety and I desperately wanted to go home. You see, at my parents house, it was quiet, but I would also hear the faint & lovely sounds of distant trains throughout the night. The silence at my cousins’ house was almost deafening.

When I first moved to the country it killed me. Where were the cars constantly passing, the distant trains, the radios, strangers walking by window laughing. I could not sleep for weeks well. My mind fills in the noise creating her own.

3 years ago I spent 1 hour at a club. Since then, I can't hear silence, only a horrific screaming high pitch sound in my head. So yeah, I have tinnitus and will have it for life.
