Yup. Our cat got a fentanyl patch on his skin after a surgery. Didn't accept the cone of shame (fought it so hard he was about to rip his stitches) and started licking the patch. We had to take it off the same day because if he had ingested it he would have likely died :( (He recovered well and is ok now!)

You might not see this but wanted to share just in case you do. They have surgery suits that look like baby onesies for cats now that are great! My cat freaked out with the cone too and I put one of the surgical suits on her instead and she was good. She left her incision alone and it healed perfectly fine. It was a little hard to wrestle her into and you have to tie them tight so they stay on but it worked for me

I've had it administered in the hospital twice as a painkiller (both times after heart attacks). The funniest/saddest part is... it doesn't do much as far as actual alleviation of pain. I get that smaller amount does the job and therefore it's probably a tremendous cost savings for the hospital, but d**n, kid, gimme back my more expensive dilaudid so I can actually stop hurting for 15 minutes.

Just in case like me you were worried. Ming the tiger, famous for living with Antoine Yates in a Harlem apartment, died of natural causes in February 2019. He was 19 years old. Ming's cremated remains were interred at Hartsdale Pet Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. After being rescued from the apartment in 2003, Ming lived at the Noah's Lost Ark Exotic Animal Rescue Center in Ohio. He lived a relatively peaceful life there, playing with other tigers, swimming, and experiencing the elements, according to the sanctuary director.

Here in Australia we call it "The Devils Toilet Paper", there was a soldier a bunch of years ago that came to Australia with all the other soldiers, he went to the bathroom in the bush and used a leaf as toilet paper, it left tiny little thorns in his cheeks for months afterwards, it's been called The Devils Toilet Paper since.

By the time she left the station she might as well have been drunk, a doctor testified in her trial earlier this week.
Strange suffered hyponatremia, or acute water intoxication.
Immediate medical care with an IV sodium drip to counteract the water might have saved her, the doctor testified. Instead, Strange went home and collapsed. She was found dead about six hours later.

Her case brought “water poisoning” into the public eye. In first aid courses I often asked if there was anything you couldn't poison yourself with, people always mentioned "water". Or when I pointed out that the dose makes the poison, the participants always said "yes, except for water." Her tragic death became a cautionary tale

a very interesting article was published shortly after trump gave the green light to ice to basically scoop and deport people without due process. it was about how some farmers in texas and a couple of other states were petitioning to slow down the deportation of immigrants because their livelihoods were being hit and leading them into banckrupcy. the funny part of the article was that there were self-identified maga voters who were regretting having voted for trump. frankly, i had little sympathy for them because they were examples of the classic phrase 'cutting off your nose to spite your faith'.

Frédéric Bourdin stated that Nicholas's mom and brother Jason probably knew what happened to Nicholas (Jason apparently left the house soon after Nicholas's disappearance, the mom didn't want to house "Nicholas" after he was "found" and called him a burden, she once told him something along the lines "Who the f**k are you, who are you?"). Though these are just speculations and even probably lies told by Bourdin to "softened" what he did. Bourdin had a story of faking identities. He served 6 years. Upon returning to France, he continued this fake identities thing. He stopped after getting cats and "someone had to take care of the cats" (if you know an imposter get them a cat ig). There is another disturbing aspect to this story when it was discovered that Elena body was missing from her grave the family didn’t know what had happened to it until her sister heard rumors of someone keeping a dead body under I believe a coffee table she went to the house and there she found her sister’s body and the Doctor. He was never charged with grave robbing because the statute of limitations had passed.

14 Year Old Max Devries Has Been Missing Since 2004
Max DeVries went missing on a family vacation to Aruba in May 2004. Officials declared that Max was "lost at sea," but his family believes there was foul play. The family befriended 2 older males during the trip. One of the males took Max out on a jet ski ride the day before Max’s disappearance. The following day the other (older) man pleaded with Max’s mother to let him go again and even offered to pay. The mom was suspicious but after Max convinced her to let him go, she allowed it. The man returned without Max claiming he was still out in the water somewhere. He had visible scratches on his hands and neck that he claimed was from getting on the jet ski. Neither of the men were charged in Max’s disappearance. The FBI does have Max’s case and have marked it as foul play. Unfortunately Max’s case is still unsolved and we need your help to spread awareness for his case so the FBI will thoroughly investigate and bring justice for Max and his family. The second screenshot is one of the men who was last seen with max.

There can indeed be a great destruction when there' fire in apartment complexes, but there are also things that make fire less destructive. Things of course depend by country and house, but in here it's in law to have fire alarms in every apartment, two in those larger than 60 square meters and so on. Also nowadays it's to housing company's responsibility to upkeep them. Fire extinquishers need to be easily accessible in the corridor, in bigger houses more than one. Mostly everyone has their own fire extinquisher too, or at least a fire blanket. So most apartment fires don't have chance to grow as they are noticed quickly. Mostly apartment fires don't spread to other apartmehnts other than water and smoke damages.

"Ana Elvia Cortés was sentenced to death by four hooded men who placed the explosive collar on her at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15. if given the choice i would take 'dogma' buddy christ over this representation. when it comes to the crucifix it has always bothered me that in the bible it plainly states that g-d commanded that no graven images of him should be made. iwhen i have discussed this with christian friends they tried to explain it away by claiming that this was written in the old testament and therefore does not apply when it comes to christ. in their minds the new tesament negates the the old testament. that doesn't sit well with me because it sounds like justification of their practices in almost a 'pick and choose' what they want to follow.

At least it was OUTSIDE! I am SEVERELY arachnophobic. Even this pic made me jump. One of these crawled out of my mom's cars sun visor while she was driving and made a beeline for me! I was like a woman possessed and screamed like a banshee and adrenaline took over and I found the closest thing to me( a frozen sausage roll, funnily enough) and whacked it to death! Mom slammed on the breaks and got the body out the car while I jumped out the door and sobbed on the pavement. To this day we still call that bend in the road "Spider Corner", and refer to sausage rolls as "Spider Killers".

Used to live in Poplar Bluff (#3). My senior year of hs there were multiple tornado reports. But we didn't see any and the sirens didn't go off. Mom and I let my older brother, who worked nights, sleep through it. (We weren't disturbing him for just funnel clouds.) Turns out only north side of town was hit. You get used to it.

Clarifying the "Flesh-Dissolving" and "Pheromone" Myth · It's not "acid" in the Hollywood sense. The venom contains enzymes and a potent neurotoxin that can destroy tissue (a condition called rhabdomyolysis) and cause kidney failure in cases of multiple stings. A single sting is extremely painful and medically dangerous for allergic individuals, but it won't "dissolve flesh" from one sting. · The pheromone part is TRUE. When a hornet stings or is crushed, it can release an alarm pheromone that marks you as a target and signals other hornets to attack. This is the #1 reason for the "run away" advice.
