InterviewEveryone thinks they have a solid idea of what creates attractiveness, but the truth is that quite often our partners really like specific mannerisms and behaviors that we hardly think about on a day to day basis.

Not having cosmetic surgery. Serious girl your lips are perfectly kissable without any lip filler.
My basic rule about cosmetic surgery - If people can tell you've had it, you shouldn't have.
Unless it’s to mitigate the effects of a disfiguring injury. That’s okay to be noticeable.
Load More Replies...Read the question of the sub again. Many (Most?) men don't find cosmetic surgery attractive - especially in the face. For me it's an extreme turn off, as I very easily step into "uncanny valley". Luckily I live in Germany where it's much less prevalent than eg California. I always feel like it's a huge shame when a Hollywood actress / actor get something done - it's their choice (hopefully*?!) but it still annoys me to look in their faces after I'm invested in a show for example. (starlight of the boys is a good example)
*I hope they aren't pressured into it by the likes of Harvey Weinstein to keep getting jobs
Load More Replies...And what if they're doing it for their own self esteem? Not everything women do is for the express purpose of impressing men.
Another person thinking they would be able to spot a well expected and well thought cosmetic surgery... People, what you don't like is a bad surgery or you wouldn't ever known.
The only cosmetic surgery I am for is reconstructive. Other than that, stay as you are.
If it is not fixing some obvious problem, nope to any cosmetic surgery.
Are we talking Cosmetic Surgery for facial scars or other types of corrective surgery? I've facial scars and would love to have "plastic surgery" to help disguise or even 'remove' them. Other types of "Cosmetic Surgery"? As in just purely for looks and not medical reasons? It's up to the individual tbh... Because we can have our opinions but if they're going to do it? They're going to do it. Just hope that it's with a reputable surgeon and hospital.
A sense of humor/willingness to be silly.
Ahem, ladies. They don't mean women like me with my perverted sense of black humor.
I like how people are clumsy when shy and caught off guard. I find it really attractive when that happens with a woman
A combination of self confidence and genuine kindness is very attractive to me. It’s also more rare than you think.
Like, don't be the confidant HBIC, that's a huge turnoff. Be confident and strong, but laugh often!
Bored Panda got in touch with the woman who asked the question in the first place, so we wanted to hear if there was a specific incident that caused her to turn to the internet. “My husband often compliments small things that I don't notice on myself and forget to appreciate them,” she shared.
“So I was curious what men think and usually find attractive about women, when it comes to very tiny things. Details matter, and I think women sometimes focus on the wrong things.”
Being extremely passionate about their hobbies. .
THIS. A girl endlessly, passionately rambling about something she absolutely loves is the most attractive thing EVER. And I promise that for the right person, you're not "annoying" or "too much" for doing this.
Thank you. I actually needed to hear this.
Load More Replies...I like hobbitses as much as anybody but I can't say I'm passionate about them :(
i absolutely love this when my girl talks about things she loves like fitness her eyes light up and this already gorgeous woman becomes even more gorgeous
I amcurrently sorting through my extensive collection of books ( almost 3000 ). Most are going to the landfill. They sat in a shed for 15 years. Both my first husband and ny second are contractors and promised to build me a library. Neither did. My second marriage is over and now i am finally facing going through my books. If your partner does not help you celebrate your passionate hobby, they are not realky your oartner, they are just someone you are living with.
Why landfill? Are they in such poor condition from being in the shed that they can't go for recycling? As a bibliophile with a book collection to rival yours, I feel your pain

Not sure about all women but my wife has so many that I daydream at work about coming home and seeing her cute little mannerisms over some silly thing.
Humility.
I hope it's attractive on men, too.
I can't abide braggarts, and the whole "boss babe" and "alpha male" b******t needs to die.
I worked for someone who always telling us how humble he was. He was not engaging in irony, because that concept was beyond him. He did have a great potential for humility because he had so much to be humble about.
Did you see the interview Trump gave prior to the 2016 election where the interviewer told him that there was a concern among Christian voters that he didn't seem to be humble? His reply was priceless: "Oh, I'm humble. I'm so humble. Nobody is more humble than Donald J. Trump".Mike Pence was sat beside him and looked as though he wanted the ground to open up and swallow him.
Load More Replies...Not true. Grey haired lady in 50s about 3 posts up. Anyway the article is about what's attractive. No one is going to say "sweaty, morbidly obese, hairy armed, warty, looks like Les Dawson" is attractive.
Load More Replies...The thread ended up having hundreds of comments, so we also wanted to hear her opinion on why so many people ended up finding it engaging. “I think what made it popular was because the answers made people realize that small things we enjoy are making our lives happier and they were reminded of that by this post.”
Kindness.
Mental maturity.
As long as she's serious in the serious times and funny in the funny times.
Just being so comfortable in their body. when they look like it's so natural to be relaxed without trying to flirt or worry about their appearance. smiling for no reason. a posture that is welcoming, inviting.
I love that being welcoming and inviting is attractive and I hate being that person (yet here I go) but for myself (I absolutely don't claim to speak for all women) I sometimes hesitate to be those things. I've heard several people (male and female) complain that someone else was clearly interested in them, even if they said no, because they invited the attention. It's happened to me too, while I was standing next to my partner, and all I meant to be was polite. I even checked with them and the other people we were with and nope, I apparently wasn't being inappropriate, just nice. It's such a slippery slope. The only way I ever figured it out was to ask if they wanted to go out on a date. It's hard to misinterpret "no". At least it shouldn't be. I may get downvoted here, but I'm not arguing these things aren't attractive, just giving another perspective on why you might not see them as often.
We also wanted to hear if she had any personal examples and favorite comments. “An example could be an earring, a small pearl earring can be very attractive for some and shows the soft beauty of a woman. My favorite I think was a "passion for hobbies", it is always lovely to see someone genuinely enjoying what they do, regardless of gender.”
Messy buns & up-do’s. 🤩 Women just be tossing that hair up in about three tenths of a second to get it out of their way… meanwhile I’m sitting there with my jaw on the floor. 🥵.
Them genuinely having fun and making derpy faces that makes for ugly photos. Women, that is the face we fall in love with, not your highly edited instagram photos that took at least 50 tries to get right.
My ex would send me random photos of her pulling silly faces every now and then, with some silly text, like 'my impression of you pooping' and 'drinking my mums tea'.
Agree it shows their personality, not the ultra serious you had to take 20 photos to get one good one look and it looks the same as everyone else.
Yeah, but some people try too hard to take silly photos because it makes them look cute and quirky. It’s still cultivation.
Load More Replies...It's very cute that you think it didn't take 50 tries to get the perfect ~*qUiRkY*~ photo to make you feel some kind of way
Honestly just casual women, not all dolled up. I think sweat pants and an old T-shirt with hair tied up in a messy pony tail looks more attractive than fancy dress, makeup and perfect everything. Still look beautiful dressed up, but I think the messy look shows they’re confident in themselves and don’t care what others think at that time. It feels
More vulnerable and like they trust you enough to see them with their imperfections.
Oh and sometimes quirky teeth it’s fun seeing a smile with imperfect teeth.
I am both: some days are sweat pants and old t-shirt days and some days are dressed up days. Us women have layers. Comfy layers.
Pale skin. I f*****g hate fake tan with a passion. Love the ancestry you are a part of. If you are Irish love the fact that you are Irish. Pale skin is gorgeous.
I sincerely hope the same goes for dark skin, i.e. no lighteners. I'm definitely here for the love the skin you're in message though.
I think it's more a comment on people who are unnaturally orange or mahogany when their own skin is beautiful. I love truly black skin ❤️. I can't understand why people want to bleach their skin paler.
Load More Replies...Or, if you’re like me and naturally tan, love the imperfection of the tan line :)
Tell me you are from USA without telling me that you are from USA. I will tell you a secret... You can love your ancestry and get tan, and there is nothing inappropriet in it.
The author did specify "fake" tan. I tan, but never without the sun.

Baseball cap with the ponytail pulled out the back. Men’s dress shirt and pajama bottoms in the morning. A tiny wisp of hair it comes out near the ear that seems a little bit messy, but just fits perfectly on your face. And lastly, the small gap between the end of your skirt and the top of your boots. That’s small amount of skin that doesn’t really, have a traditional sexy value just look so damn good on you.
Just personal preference, but I gotta disagree with the ballcap. For me, a woman in a ballcap is an instant turn-off.
This look is awful 😆 and who wears dress shirts in the morning? This isn't Alfie
I have to throw wearing glasses out there…? I get 3X the male attention when I wear my glasses vs my contacts.
I wonder if OP is just more self confident when wearing glasses? I've never thought wearing glasses affected a woman's attractiveness one way or the other, but others may feel differently.
Like any fashion accessory, they can add to attractiveness if you pick one that's right for you.

Idk what it is but I love a woman’s neck line, clavicles, and shoulders. I think that’s where a women’s femininity really shines. Audrey Hepburne is a great example. My ex used to wear this shoulderless sweater and it would drive me crazy.
Audrey Hepburn was chronically underweight because she almost starved to death during WWII in The Netherlands. That's why you like her clavicles 🙃
Hu, I believe him. I have an ugly face, like, really nothing to write home about. ( I cannot remember being complimented on any facial feature in any decade) ....buuuuuuut... as an adult I started getting praise for my neck /shoulders area, upper arms and feet (up to offering me spontaneously money for being allowed to touch them in public). So, I started to show them off. PS: as Madame de Staël knew over 200 years ago: " A woman should show her beautiful decollete where she has it." (She was considered ugly in her time as well, looks normal in nowadays standards, IMHO)
quite clearly the person who posted this is a vampire let me guess you dont like garlic either
They’re why we need dress codes that cover the shoulders(/j)
Practicing what they preach, being accountable for their actions, and a lot of the stuff that they tell men is attractive like that.
Don't be too surprised. It's hard to find a mature adult on either side.

When they do that little half-smile while lost in thought or when they unconsciously tuck a strand of hair behind their ear — pure magic
Wrinkles are sexy for me especially a bit of crow's feet around the eyes.
Crow's feet around the eyes show that a person has laughed honestly a lot in life.
All that "smiling with your eyes" thing during the pandemic is really going to increase your dating pool!
Many years ago in biology class we were discussing how the skin changes due to aging. The teacher pointed out how smooth the skin around our eyes was compared to her own, which she said were 'crow's feet; or as I call mine, laugh lines'. I thought that I spoke too quietly for her to hear when I said to my friend 'Nothing could be *that* f'kin' funny'. I got a detention.
Braided hair.
Legitimately hilarious sense of humor.
Being really passionate about hobbies.
Being able to hold thoughtful conversations and keep the talking going.
Ability to flirt without being awkward, playing hard to get, or coming across as someone who collects men.
Confidence.
Hoodies/pajamas/baggy t-shirts. Just...reminds me of lazy mornings.
Am I the only one who gets irritated by people trying to answer ALL of the question? Put your top one or two, then leave air for others ffs...
I quite enjoy the laundry lists of things that could potentially make me attractive. I'm super awkward and don't know a damn thing that other people find attractive.
Load More Replies..."Being able to hold thoughtful conversations" This seems a bit harsh really. What you consider thoughtful conversations may not be theirs.
A wide variety of music tastes. I love music and love talking about it with ppl.
I listen to anything opera, rock, pop, country but now put my foot down at baby shark due to dd
Well... I'd love a girl who likes the same three hyper-specific flavors of modern rock as I do 😆
Freckles.
I taught two sisters, one covered with freckles and the other without a single one. They were referred to at school as Freckled and Freckless.
My daughter, about 12 at the time, had complained that she hated her ugly freckles. Elijah Wood was in a movie called Flipper. When she watched it, she said co-star Jessica Wesson, who was 16 at the time, was really, really pretty. Well, she had freckles in the movie, so I pointed that out. My daughter never complained about having freckles again.
Hygiene. My wife uses this body spray after she gets out the shower and every time I smell it it’s like the first time. Nails manicured not overly long but she’s leaning into a more pointed tip because you know…I like it….
Neither body spray nor manicures have anything to do with hygiene. Wanna try again?
'this' body spray? What body spray? If you aren't showing what you're talking about, it's 'a' body spray
Not necessarily. Per https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/grammar/british-grammar/this-that-these-those "We sometimes use this instead of a/an to refer to something important or recent, or to introduce a new person or thing in a story: ["]This guy knocked on the door and asked if I wanted new windows.["] ["]Then suddenly she pulled out this big pile of papers from her briefcase and threw them on the table.["]"

For me hands, they are beautiful, on the personality side good humor.
Haha even when I didn't work with my hands (as a in paid job), I worked with my hands around the house and a zillion 'projects' (for example, replaced the shingles and 1/4 of plywood roof on 2 car workshop of my house in my 20s.. as a necessity while poor student. My hands have never and will never be those of a hand model 😅
"For me hands" sounds like a pirate telling you why he bought gloves. Please put commas in the right place, people. EDIT: OK, who did I offend with a combined pirate/punctuation joke? Do I need to be worried about the pirate community press ganging me? Or will the advocates for poor punctuation beat me into a comma?

Hobbies. It’s nice when they have interests that can spark conversation.
A lot of men ask questions like "What should I talk about with a woman to get her interest?" My reply is "If you don't have a common topic you can spend hours talking about, don't even bother."
Don't talk about the gym if it's your only hobby.

Personally, I like a focused woman, I don't mean the serious woman but I mean when she is trying to get a job done, like solving a math, trying a open a tin with a really tight lid, she is focused on "How do I get 5his done?" that's what I mean.
Solving a math? And on another article recently a sum was called a 'number sentence'. Is this what the language has come to?
Not everyone's first language is English, UK GRANDAD

Confidence in yourself to not require validation. Validation is just icing on top of your confidence.
Purse straps that go between their breasts.
Imperfections.
I love a blind a*s girl that needs glasses.
I just take it to mean he finds women who wear glasses attractive.
Load More Replies...A woman's strong will and sensual sexuality are attractive as hell. I love you, ladies.
Possibly the best (or strangest) compliment I have ever received in my life. "You wear your sex like other women wear their perfume"
Hip dips
Sun dresses
Confidence
Enjoying your hobbies
Engaging in the conversation.
What are hip dips? *scurrying off asking Auntie Googula and Uncle Wiki....*
It's a dip between your hip bones and pelvis. Most people have them to some extent but they're more pronounced in curvy ladies and muscular ones.
Load More Replies...Chub. I like it when girl has a belly. It seems to be one of the biggest insecurities out there. It saddens me. I go crazy when people are confident in their bodies.
Black converse shoes .
Well, seems like no one here thinks intelligence could be one of the things that make women attractive ... And a woman should be passionate about her hobbies but rather not about her job. Tbh this list grosses me out.
Keeping yourself natural. Stop worrying about weight and smothering yourself in makeup. The softness and curves that come with a healthy amount of body fat are what really makes your body a work of art. Stop trying to get rid of it, often it’s your greatest physical asset.
the eight first .... seemed they were talking about my companion. Yeah, she's the best.
One of mine is when they're able to laugh at themselves. I don't mean in a negative light, but if you make a small mistake like "What was the kid's name in Harry Potter" (my wife's actual comment). It just makes the mistake even cuter.
I used to be so confident with my body but now I have Mom Bod and yeah.. Can't even look at myself anymore (sigh) I'll get there eventually
