We all deserve a mood-boosting meme collection every now and then (or honestly, always). Maybe you're emotionally done, maybe you're just mildly annoyed, either way, memes are a perfectly acceptable coping mechanism.

That’s exactly why we’ve compiled this collection straight from an Instagram page that knows the struggle is real and the humor is chaotic. These memes are perfect for scrolling, snorting, and sending to your equally unhinged best friend.

#1

Random memes featuring a 2005 city scene with yellow taxis and humorous social media comments to spice up life.

I have the very same complaint! So many of the things I like, and then when it's time to replace them - poof! Gone! Then I kick myself for not buying extra right away after I see that it's something I really like or it's the best.

Many of us know that a smile is kind of magical. It lifts our mood, eases stress, and even makes strangers smile back. So basically, memes are just digital smiles. Scrollable little packages of serotonin and shared humanity. They exist to remind us it’s okay to laugh, even when we’re losing it.

Now, one of the biggest reasons we smile more is when our work-life balance isn’t totally off the rails. These days, it's easy to get swallowed by work emails and to-do lists. We forget to look up, stretch out, or just breathe. That’s why it’s important to pause and be fully present. Even a five-minute check-in can do wonders.

Or, and indulge me for a moment, full on attacking a country that has the same nuclear firepower that we do and a pretty d@mned well stocked army with well trained soldiers and a solid chain of command might not be a good option. I mean you don't hear anyone talk about why not nuke China.

This isn’t too bright here …. Iran has a sprawling, secret, illegal nuclear program designed for weapons and nuclear blackmail. It doesn’t have nukes. Yet. Thanks to Israel and America! Making the whole world safer and hopefully speeding up the freedom of the Iranian people from the Ayatollah terrorists.

D: the only reason Iran has a (just as illegal as Israel's) nuclear weapon programme is decades of attacks and threats from Israel and the USA, All Israel and the USA are doing is accelerating Iran's nuclear weapons programme to make the world a more worrying place. I mean, constant threat and refusal of dialogue meant North Korea developed nuclear weapons. So, Iran will be next - all because of American and Israel threats. Thank so much, Tru•mp and Benji!

Didn't they just wipe out swathes of rainforest to make a motorway to where it's being held? We ought to stop having COP[number] as it ought to be clear by now that this method isn't working, and everybody in power furiously masturbating over the imagined power of AI means we're liable to spend the next decade undoing everything we've been doing over the past decade, to arrive at Net Zero, zero as in f**k-all got done in the end. 😡

Kerry flew private jets to “climate” conferences. The Paris Accords were a joke that required India and China to do nothing … then Europe cut their nuclear power and turns to Russian gas and domestic coal … this whole things is a joke unless we plan on billions starving to reach net zero. Even EVs require the equivalent of tens of thousands of miles of fossil fuel to build their batteries and aluminium bodies …. This is just ideological stupidity with not real solution …

One easy way to step away is by doing yoga or meditation. The benefits are more real than we admit:

    Calmer nervous system

Regular breathing exercises and meditation help lower cortisol, the body's primary stress hormone. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing your body to relax and feel more at ease.

    Improved focus

Mindfulness practices can enhance the brain's ability to filter distractions. Over time, this leads to better concentration, mental clarity, and task completion without constant interruptions.

    Less shoulder tension

Stretching and proper posture release the muscle tightness caused by long hours at a desk. These small movements increase blood circulation, easing stiffness and preventing chronic neck and back pain.

Oi vey. All this angst! My grandparents were all born before 1914. So, they had two world wars, with the Great Depression in-between - it ain't been that bad recently, at least not in most English-speaking nations. I recall the 1970s - look it up. Oh yes, and the economic crises of the 1980s. And - oh yeah, a few things in the decades since... Seriously? To my mind, the biggest problem with industrialization is that "we" are no longer agricultural workers with easy access to pitchforks with which "we" can stab "them". I'm probably joking. Probably...

You'd think that after so many times they might start to realise that it's been a permanent economic crisis that's been going on for multiple generations, only occasionally punctuated by a once-in-a-generation boom of a year or five before the next big bust reverts to the norm.

Most of these economic crises were (and are currently) a result of choices made by the Republican party. They (and their supporters) have spent 40+ years saying they're "fiscally conservative" but somehow they tank the economy every fücken time they're given power. And yet people keep electing them. Well, here we are in 2025 and they've finally taken their white hoods off and showed us their true colors. Will Americans now FINALLY see them for what they are and completely remove them from power via elections in 2026 and 2028? Stay tuned!

We spoke with Nandini Shah, a yoga teacher from India who specializes in corporate yoga. “The first time I walked into a class, I was honestly nervous,” she told us. “I was teaching professionals who seemed so sharp and busy. But I quickly realized, many were just... tired. Stressed, aching from long hours, and not breathing right.”

“The first two minutes of meditation can feel like a century,” she laughed. “Especially for beginners who are used to rushing through life. They fidget, peek, check their phones, then realize, wait, this is harder than expected. But that stillness? It’s powerful once you settle. It’s like rebooting your mind.”

My local is a converted cow barn (I live rural). Often get a row to yourself, but you just have to put up with muck because it is run by volunteers and nobody wants to vacuum/tidy the entire place multiple times a day for the one or two days a week that it is open. I don't visit often, though, as it's kind of depressing to see the eldest sister on the verge of tears as she's trying to be the parent and keep her siblings in line and the actual parents just don't care enough to do any parenting. I can wait, watch it on streaming or broadcast, with headphones, and maybe subtitles. For me, a better experience than trying to understand a film dubbed into a foreign language with screamies that Won't! Shut! The! F**k! Up! 😡😡😡

Many times, this administration has claimed that they would be sending out checks to people because of all the "good work they have done". There was the "optimizing of the government" that was to save 2 trillion, then 1 trillion, and ended up costing more than saved because they had no idea what the departments they were destroying did. Ideas were floated to use some of the savings to send out checks, but it never happened (DOGE = Department of Government Efficiency, was created by this administration and was run by Musk for three or four months). The same was said about the tariffs, they floated the idea that they would take part of the money and send out checks, of course that has never happened. I'm probably missing some of the other "promises" like this.

Funny story... The files are not actually redacted. Elon Musk's DOGE canceled the federal government's Adobe subscriptions, including Acrobat Pro, which does actually redact files, and made everyone use the free version of Acrobat, which cannot redact files. If you copy any redacted part of these files and paste into a text editor, all is revealed.

The local cycling club disbanded for the same reason. A couple of Tour de France nuts joined and started berating people for "only" doing a 10km circuit around the forest in slow motion. So the people, who weren't racing, but just out for exercise and enjoyment, just noped out of going and - like you - within a month it was all over. Some of the people pair up now and again, but nobody is interested in setting up the group again. It took a lot to organise everything and sort out refreshments afterwards and I guess when your heart isn't in it any more...

Sometimes, all it takes is one perfectly timed meme to flip your mood like a light switch. So, which one of these memes did the trick for you? The one that made you snort-laugh? Tell us in the comments, we’re ready to laugh with you!

I'm hoping to hang on to retirement, which is a long way off still (fifteen years if I toddle off at 67), but yeah, the work plus the pay (or, rather, lack of it) means that it's a bit of a revolving door situation. The thing I don't understand is that the company will pay agencies for temporary workers (often Romanian (*), some of whom don't come back after the first day) rather than offering a more attractive salary to retain people. * - Nothing against Romanians, if you get one that understands French then they're decent workers, but the reality is that far FAR too many younger natives want to do jobs like "pedicure", "hairdresser", or (god help us) "influencer". 🤦

The real story here is that people still take Fox News seriously. Though, this brand of annoying right wing bollocks seems to be spreading - over here we have the pukesomely patriotic GB News which is like Fox News without a budget, in which leading right-wing MPs present and host programmes *while* still being MPs.

It's 5am and I've not slept AT ALL, so that might be partially why, but it took me too long to work out what 'How wore people with down' meant. Reading the first line a few times before realising the second line helped. Oh, I blame the cauliflower cheese for my distinctly unhappy digestive system keeping me awake.

I think it's because "wore people down" is an actual phrase with meaning. Once your brain sees meaning, it's tough to recalibrate to a different meaning, even if you didn't see the phrase you thought you did.

History is a long time, so without specifics, this is difficult to answer. There's proof that some children with Down's were treated honorably thousands of years ago, and there's evidence that Romans left them out in the elements to die. Augustine was able to convince people they were a wonder. In the 20th century, you have eugenics that promoted the sterilization of DS patients and doctors who convinced parents to commit their children into life-long institutions. I remember in the 60s, how families that didn't institutionalize their DS children kept them hidden at home. **And, yes, that is Shane Gillis.**

Stick with us, you'll learn things. Dave Ramsey advises people who have made poor financial choices and complain about how difficult life is for them. He tries to help them overcome their financial difficulties, like taking on a mortgage that they can't afford and will probably exist longer than they live, so it will never be paid off.

Interest payments are pure profit for the bank/lender, so they're pure loss for you. The quicker you pay off a loan, the less you lose.
