You’re kinda falling into the same error I made from the opposite direction. I was/am familiar with the word because my parents used it when I was young, and when I started work (in Bournemouth, y’know, on the south coast of England) it was standard to describe activities as “outwith the scope of this project/study/document…” I made the faulty assumption that since it was a common term to me and the people I associated most with, it must be reasonably common.

Interesting. Looks like my familiarity with the word comes from broad exposure to the term in a study or project context. Dad got a degree in biochemistry in his mid-20s and completed multiple lab studies (he was 19 when I was born, so I’d have been 6-9 years old when he was studying) while my first full time job post uni was in IT doing admin for projects.

I asked the woman what exactly I was supposed to do about it? I avoided padded bras because they make my bréasts even bigger. I can’t help that my nıpples sometimes harden when I’m chilly, I just slip on a jacket or cardigan to warm up. I wore fitted button up shirts, sure, but we’re talking darts at the waist and chest area, not see-through, skin tight or low cut. Did she expect me to bind my chest &/or wear baggy shirts? After this increasingly sarcastic response, I ended up saying, “This sounds like their problem. If they aren’t professional enough to not gawp at my chest, they need sensitivity training and to grow the fück up”. So far as I’m concerned, that there is the answer. It’s unprofessional and adolescent behaviour to be so focused on a person’s séxual characteristics it makes you uncomfortable.

Unfortunately I have never escaped :/ My dad had an accident when I was 18 and sustained catastrophic brain damage. I stayed living at home for the next 21 years to help take care of him. I worked for the family business as well during that time. My dad died in 2021 and I found myself 39 years old with no career, no degree, no friends, no family of my own. I lived with my boyfriend for 3 years (we were together 24 years total) but I ended up moving back home a year ago. I live next door to my childhood home (where my mother and sister live.) Unfortunately, my mother is still a cruel narcissist at 82 years old. The good thing is that she'll never lay a hand on me ever again, but the verbal and emotional ábuse never stopped. It's my birthday tomorrow (the 22nd) and my mom and sister went to a local casino this weekend. Even little things like that hurt. It súcks, but I'm stuck back at home for now. I don’t believe that her therapist revealed the details of what she said to her mother figure. I think what happened was that the therapist simply told the mother that a report to CPS had to be submitted, because therapists are mandatory reporters just like doctors, teachers, clergy.

Poly people form emotional bonds with their sêxual partners; if their other relationship is nothing but fücking, that’s also not poly, it’s ethical non-monogamy.

The American Academy of Pediatrics has proposed, additionally, that the emotional and psychological risks to the donor should be minimized.” OP doesn’t meet any of these criteria, so no doctors would or could legally or ethically accept her as a donor. It’s more likely a deluded fantasy of the deranged mother.
