Hurt my cat, I will end you! I had a 70+ year old roommate/sublet who I discovered several weeks after the fact that she'd poisoned my Seal Point Siamese Cat, Gibby with antifreeze in his water dish! The ONLY reason I left her alive is I didn't want to spend the rest of my life in prison. How did I find out? She got drunk (this was a sober living house) and told me how she took care of the problem "My Cat"! I picked her up by the throat, slammed her head into the concrete block wall 2-3 times. I knew I was losing it, I truly wanted to murder her! So I squeezed her around the throat as hard as I could, told her she's better sober her a$$ up cause I was kicking her out and she'd better be gone before I left for work!

No one should act s****y towards a kitty.

I kicked my ex in his stomach because he kicked a kitten. I also bashed him on the head with a bottle of beer for kicking our dog across the room. I'm not usualy violent and not proud of doing these things, but I can't handle cruelty to animals.

3 years later, I'd show up at his door and beat his a*s while the cat watched from the car.

I hope you used a club, bat, chain, stones, soap bars inside pillow cases.... I mean, it was multiple beatings, so you could increase creativity just to, you know, enhance the pain as well as the shameful effect.

Especially being a 6-week-old kitten, there could be some horrendous damage done to the baby. I think that is an appropriate response and I would do the same thing!

have a friend who had a room mate. Room mate had a cat. Room mate decided he did not want the cat anymore. Took her out and left her to fend for herself. Friend went out found the cat brought it back and kicked out the room mate. Friend did not actually want a cat but he provided her with a home for many good years.

You only beat him up? I'm surprised you let him live! I'm over 60, and struggle to stand up for long, but I would have beaten him with my walking stick!

Multiple beatings. Again, how does behaving like the jerk not make you one? He kicked the cat.. why on earth didn’t you check the cat/ take it to a vet immediately? Sure, one pound down was earned, but multiple beatings over a half hour is disturbing. This self-righteous a**holery supposedly to right a wrong is just as deplorable. .. wtf is wrong with people? Maybe posts like this aren’t for me. People being jerks to jerks, & being unable to own their own actions & somehow believing denial of their behavior justifies it, leaves me thinking that as a species, us humans have lost the plot. (No. Absolutely not saying kicking a kitten was ok. Neither was not checking the kitten in order to behave like that jerk just did.)

Brilliant move. But as a boomer who loathes that sort of assholery from anyone regardless of age, I chafe at your ascribing it to us. We are not a monolith. Many of us are still the liberals we were in the '60s and '70s. Don't overlook allies by assuming our thinning gray hair and crackling joints puts us on opposite sides of thedecency and courtesy spectrum. Keep up the good work.
