At least this person didn't go to the "Amber abused him so he must be innocent himself" conclusion. This doesn't have to be a one good the other bad situation - they can both be abusive AHs. And judging by the testimony so far, it really does seem like that's the case (I mean, their therapist flat out said they were both abusing each other).

Oh my God I was like this as a child. In 2nd grade I would day dream A LOT. I would mostly do it in class because I was bored and didn't really feel comfortable interacting with the other kids. I'd just take myself of into a day dream and be in my own little world. The teacher would have to yell my name to get my attention a lot as a result and raised these concerns to my overly anxious mother. The teacher told my mother she thought I was having seizures due to the staring off into space and not responding when she'd call my name to get my attention (apparently). I ending up being taken to doctors and specialists and a very painful CAT scan with all these wires attached to my scalp that pulled my hair. In the end the drs found nothing wrong which I could have told any of the adults around me if they had asked when they initially had concerns. I was actively day dreaming because school was not challenging.

I hate this habit. When you over use the word it losses its mean. When you really do need to apologise, "sorry" coming from a person who is always apologising doesn't carry much weight.

Buuuut, when you consider the extreme devices of the time sold to women to achieve this standard (see: 40s glamour bonnet, 30s dimple makers and 'freezing' freckels off) it's hard to not feel bad for these women for how hard it must have been to be socially presentable. I agree more glam but not like this
