Load More Replies...Apparently i love pictures of fruit bats! 😄
Load More Replies...I really like bats, but the Flying Fox/Fruit bats are adorable. BTW, click on "animalunusual" under the photo to see lots more animal photos.
Gosh! Still makes me feel like an insufferable ba**ard every time I think when my beloved bodyguard had a small surgery and had to wear the cone of shame 😔
Better than them opening up their stitches! They have new inflatable donuts that can be used in some circumstances in place of the cone.
Load More Replies...My boy absolutely hated the cone of shame. We had to get the extra large coz the large didn't fit his neck. So the cone was way too big for him and he kept bumping into everything
Cute but I'd not let a kid get that close to a dogs face when a dog may be in pain
Excuse me Miss, are you streaming a Netflix account you're not paying for???
Looking at adorable animals immediately gives a calming effect. According to science, these images do help in reducing stress and anxiety by up to 50%.
In late 2019, the University of Leeds conducted a study in which 19 people watched a montage of photos and clips of cute animals. The results indicated a drop in blood pressure in the participants, who were due to take an exam 90 minutes after the research. The focus groups described their session as “relaxing” and “enjoyable.”
Well that takes all the fun out of it-Lego isn't meant to arrive ready-assembled.
'OK, you sheep, i'm in control here, i've got you right where i want you!'
🎶 One of these things is not like the others. One of these things just doesn’t belong.🎶
Oh, look. Your father's finally returned. Let's role out the red carpet.
Dr. Andrea Utley, who headed the research, shared more data with CNN, revealing that participants’ blood pressure dropped from 136/88 to 117/71. For context, the standard and healthy range is 120/80. The average heart rate also fell to 67.4 bpm, a 6.5% reduction. The resting heart rate is between 60 and 100 bpm.
...I literally did not realize one of those was a human child until I read your comment. My brain saw four cats XD
Load More Replies...Great pic. Wonder if it's posed - note that cup is far from spill, and very clean looking.
I assumed that’s because the little kid poured it out on purpose haha.
Load More Replies...But the cup was at the edge of the table, just asking to be pushed off.
There's a better than even chance that the milk was neatly poured on the floor for everyone to enjoy.
When you take your dogs for a walk but you can't find the other leash.
It's a nice warm place. And by now, I'm sure most of us have seen the videos of the cats and the skate-boarding turtle.
Studies from around the world show similar results. In 2015, Hiroshima University in Japan conducted research that revealed how adorable pictures of baby animals can help improve attention and concentration.
Specifically, humans naturally respond to these younglings' “baby schema” characteristics, such as their large heads and high, protruding foreheads.
I think the cow's right ear may be in front of the person's face. But something just still looks off about that person.
Load More Replies...“Well, I found them out in the field, Ma. We have to wake them , though.”
For those wondering, that is the cow's right ear laying across his face. Source: Both sides of my family are farmers, ranchers and country folk, so I grew up with those critters. 😂
Oh yes, I want one, too with those cute bunnies.
Load More Replies...Associate Professor Hiroshi Nittono led the study involving three experiments and 132 participants. He concluded that these cute images could help improve performance on detail-oriented tasks.
“This study shows that viewing cute things improves subsequent performance in tasks that require behavioral carefulness, possibly by narrowing the breadth of attentional focus,” Nittono wrote.
"I'm just going to jump over to this couch for a nice nap...motivation fail...this will do...zzz" my kind of doggo lol
When exhaustion takes over before proper positioning is accomplished.
Of course, now I got to make another waffle for myself though lol
Load More Replies...Not the usual cat flying off the counter when the toaster pops up. This little guy knows what that sound means.

Load More Replies...I'll just erm... rest here... you know, until your back is turned...
I'd like to find someone who looks at me the ways he's looking at that barbecue
It must suck to be a dog. Humans should never be stingy. Imagine having 200 times the nose power of a human and be fed dry kibble. Torture
Researchers have suggested that caregivers' improved attention to detail may be due to their close attention to their babies, including their vigilance against potential threats.
“Perceiving cuteness exerts immediate effects on cognition and behavior in a wider context than that related to caregiving or social interaction,” Nittono and his team wrote.
"Give your brother a kiss now, before you trot," Awwww, Mom! Ok...
Odd how the paw prints go the other way, almost as if his feet are on backward, or it's a bad cut n paste job.....
And if it’s not photoshopped, please wash that cement off that cat’s paws. That stuff burns.
Load More Replies...Yes, this is hilarious, but I hope someone wiped the caustic cement off his paws so they don't get burns.
Naughty kitty, I hope they got it's paws cleaned off before it caused any problems
Hey, hooman, you know that light socket over there? well, if you lick it...
I mean I've heard of Ed Sheeran but I don't think I know any of his songs
The camera loudly clicks, hunter jerks awake, fires rifle, shoots hat off photographer, deer prances away.
He's exercising proper trigger control. Never put your fingers on the trigger until you're ready to shoot.
Load More Replies...I've never understood people who think killing animals is "sport." Oh, all right, for food is ok. Who took this picture?
At first I thought it was just depixelation, but I suspect you are correct.
Load More Replies...This reminds me of two things. One is a poem about a group of men going deer hunting and one of the men's adventure of what happens to him. The other one of a song about a group of hunters and there hunting trip and what they actually do. Both on the comical side.
All of the pet stores had to hire extra security, because CATMAN still hasn't caught Bones and his heist crew.
The look that says, "I wake you hooman, not the other way around. Guess who's going to run around hollering at 2:00 a.m. tonight?"
Awww the poor seal. He probably wonders what the puppy is and why he is on the other side of the tank
They do say people and their pets often start to look alike.
Load More Replies...If this is the photo I think it is (my memory is shocking as I age!) I think this pilot volunteered to fly several homeless dogs to a shelter to find homes and he ended up falling in love with this hippo and adopted him.
I chose to believe you are correct because it makes me happy for them both.
Load More Replies...“Day 5: I’m starting to get used to this being in outer space thing! Dad and I look cute, don’t we?”
"Now re-read me the last paragraph, Tabitha. Does it contain any of the key terms?"
Bad cat, bad cat. Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when we pounce on you?
Load More Replies...What is this place???? I'm going to guess somewhere in Asia. They have all the fun interesting cat stuff
It's like those high-pressure jets they have at our local swimming pool that feel wonderful on your back...
"woke up, ate breakfast, nap on your bed, chased a toy, nap in the sunlight beam, another nap..."
Load More Replies...Well, that's what I call having a nice evening with your maximum, Supreme Ruler
Luckily paralyzed doggos generally adapt really well to doggy wheelchairs or other mobility aids! They also can sometimes get around just fine without a wheelchair (they learn to walk/drag themselves with just their front legs.) Animals do not know they are disabled or have mobility issues. I have a dog who survived distemper as a puppy, and he has constant full-body myoclonus and mobility/balance issues. He has no idea there's anything wrong with him and just gets up again whenever he falls down while playing :)
Load More Replies...And they still graffitied the painting. What is wrong with people, or am I just expecting too much from the people who do this.
given its location, it may just be the signatures of the artists involved. it wouldn't surprise me if local graffiti artists teamed up with a group that works with disabled pets!
Load More Replies...Me toooo! Now that's good obedience training!!!
Load More Replies...I'd love someone to look at me with such love as this rat has for this pie!
My 74 year old mom had never heard of a pup cup. Her 14 year old dog had never had one. Some kind soul at the drive through offered one, and they were both confused, then delighted. I would have paid soooo much to witness this. She was so excited to tell me about it. May that wholesomeness get you through the day.
Load More Replies...When I told you to put the cupcakes on a stable surface I didn't mean the floor.
My older car was totally chill with my pet rats and would spend time with them sniffing and interacting but I never trusted my younger one near them. You've got to know how your animals will react, but at the age of the kitten in this pic, I'd be more worried about the rat getting a nasty nip in, in an altercation!
Then you realized the dog was actually riding the bike?
Load More Replies...Bicycle, bicycle, bicycle! I want to ride my... Bicycle, bicycle, bicycle!
“This waiting thing is boring! When we leave, human, I have some words for you!”
Yes! This! Hamsters are actually solitary creatures, NOT social creatures. Hopefully OP has two different enclosures and keeps these hamsters separate normally and was just taking a staged photo.
Load More Replies...Hamster 1: "Mum! He's touching me!" Hamster 2: "No! You're touching me!"
Would you lot think a dog fight is cute? This is more cruelty for laffs.
yeah i learned about this the hard way, although mine weren't the cute robo hamsters you see these days. bought two males, the guy at the pet store conveniently didn't tell us that you shouldn't keep two of that kind of hamster of any gender together because they WILL try to kill each other. my mom had to help me craft a totally separate second enclosure right quick so they could be separated.
Your catnip comes in the short yellow jar.
Load More Replies...Mine will fight for cantaloupe. She's usually laid back but not for that
Load More Replies...My dogs would do that, they love fruit. Except grapes, never give grapes to dogs they are toxic to dogs.
As long as cheezburger haz no onions on it XD
Load More Replies...I'm allergic to dogs and horses and was talking about it at work a couple of weeks ago and said 'being allergic to horses isn't really a big deal because I've never walked into someone's house and thought oh c**p they have a horse!' I was apparently mistaken.
"If it weren't for my horse, I never would have spent that year in college."
Reminds me of those The Dog toys that were super popular in the early 2000
That's a Pallas Cat, a very aggressive wild animal, and he's about to tell you what you can do with your cucumbers.
Whoever purposefully freaked it out should get what they deserved. I downvoted this one (the post, not your comment).
Load More Replies...I actually asked ChatGPT to analyze this photo to see if it was Photoshopped - ChatGPT's "opinion" is that it IS Photoshopped due to lighting and proportion inconsistencies. I really hope that's the case :( I know it's legal in other countries (like Russia) to keep wild animals as pets if you get permits, but manuls are so rare that I don't even think they'd be acquirable even in Russia. (And the words on the groceries in the fridge are in English.) So, I really hope it's just a Photoshop.
Load More Replies...I always feel terrifying your pet for fun is psychotically mean. (there you go, corrected it for you)..
Load More Replies...This made me angry. Why would you purposely frightened this poor animal. Hope it bites your privates when you sleep
It's a puppet https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/polar-bear-public-transit/
Load More Replies...Despite what the other bears think, this time Earl is going to win the audition to be the next Coca-Cola polar bear...
"Idefix, I'll get you bones... a lot of bones... as soon as we're out of this pyramid." Obelix in "Asterix and Cleopatra"
Is Idefix the dog? In the English translations he's Dogmatix.
Load More Replies...'Lunch' version, they filmed two different ones
Load More Replies...Time for a spray bottle and hopefully the claws didn't puncture the roast and the teeth didn't touch the chicken. The chicken has to go in a different container now. BAD kitty jumping in the fridge
::sighs:: First of all, torturing/scaring a cat with a spray bottle does not actually "teach" it anything or "train" it other than to be afraid of you (and the bottle.) You will damage a cat's trust and love for you if you spray it. And very bold of you to assume that whomever took the photo didn't LEAVE the fridge open in order to get a funny photo. The cat isn't "BAD" - the cat has no concept of human morals, society, or hygiene. Cats have instincts, and one of those instincts is to eat food to stay alive. It is not being naughty or "BAD", it's just instinctively pursuing food.
Load More Replies...Not if #8 has anything to do with it...
Load More Replies...They were actually showing corgi races on tv; it was very cute
CATMAN is waiting for Bones and his team, to stage another heist and rob the pet food store to steal all of the the Catnip.
I’m still trying to figure out if it’s really a cat or food that just looks like one 🥲
It's food XD There's no definition to the paws/toes area.
Load More Replies...Doggie biscuits are on sale for $5.99 and the small bones are 2 for 1.
Kiss frogs they might turn into a prince and ate less likely to bite.
Little Jimmy was once again, caught by Aunt Martha at the family reunion.
Just your daily reminder that your cat and dog live in bags of their own skin and fur! XD (It's actually a safety feature - if they are bitten/clawed by a predator or another animal in a fight, their loose skin makes it less likely that their actual muscle/flesh will be injured.)
I wouldn't risk it unless the tube was rinsed out :( Onion powder is toxic to cats and kitten will groom it off of its fur and potentially get sick (or die) if there is residue.
This is really stupid. Small dogs can very quickly overheat, and by the look of this dic ktardery, it would take a while to get that bubble wrap off him >.<
Which do you think were AI generated? There were some photoshopped ones, but I didn't see any AI ones.
Load More Replies...To the poll question, yes looking at cute animals can help when you are in a bad mood, however anything that can get your brain paying attention to anything other than what;s put you in a bad mood can disrupt the spiral. That said, give me cute animals when I'm in any sort of mood & my day gets brighter!
i keep a whole folder of pictures and videos that make me smile or laugh, it's a major part of my self-care!
