Poster At My Local Bar In The Women’s Bathroom, Which Shares The Secret Phrase For Communicating Problems To The Bar Staff
For this to keep on working as planned, everybody needs to keep their mouth shut about it.
This is probably better than "ask for Angela" which is now very commonly known, but by those predators as well.
I wish individuals and media would stop publishing these since they need to be kept secret to work.
Exactly , but also ALL PUBS 100% of em in USA pfft need these in the ladies loos , the ask for Angela thing in uk ,is still safer for us women , or if your in a house with a violent husband etc , u call 999 n ask for a pizza pepperoni,n they know to send help STAT , so far never heard of anyone sussing it , but it actually does include men to cos they also get attacked!! I wish all this had been around d when I was 18 n married to a wife beater , ( yes I ran ,after one to many beatings in a few months ,n no he never showed that side til one put a ring on it ) so these would have been useful back then 1984 !
Load More Replies...I love that it lists so many different scenarios. I am certain that many people might question whether or not their situation is relevant enough to warrant interception. This adds a level of ease and acceptance of help.
Except it's now posted on-line so if your creepy date hears you say "there is broken glass in the washroom" he might react quite badly. Great idea but maybe it should be more of a gatekeep secret type of thing.
Yes, but I think this is better as Angela is now too well known.

This is great, especially for new drivers and people who like to park backwards.
I like the handicap signs that you'll spot even if you park on the space. No more "bUt I dIdN't SeE iT"
At work it's a *requirement* to park backwards. If the place has to be evacuated, everybody just gets in their car and drives forward in turn, there's no screwing around as people try to get out of their parking place.
And have you ever had to have a genuine evacuation? Not a practice run, but like a genuine reason to evacuate?
Load More Replies...Are you telling me that there are places were isn't mandatory to park backwards????
Just curious, what country do you live in? I have never heard this being a thing (I'm a Brit).
Load More Replies...A School In My Town Has A Share Bin
Students who buy lunches may place unwanted and unopened food in this ice tray. If other students are still hungry after they finish their own lunches, they may choose one item from the share bin. This simple process reduces waste and makes tummies full.
My school has this exact thing! Helps me who wants just an extra fruit or an extra cranberry packet sometimes :)
Or, you could just offer a free school luch, with seconds for those still hungry.
I am all for free school lunches, but disparaging a good idea as not good enough is not helpful. Something is better than nothing.
Load More Replies...Or they can just give students free meals at school instead of spending the money on tax deductions for the ultra rich
It would still be good to put food aside that you aren't going to eat for those who are. Why waste it?
Load More Replies...In first grade (1969-70), we fought to have the 2 kids who ate the green peas & sauerkraut, since we couldn't go to recess if we didn't clear our trays. And some got stuff in empty milk cartons, although sometimes they checked those too. And washed the tables with the nasty-smelling cafeteria sponge. No wonder we're immune to everything.
I hope schools here in uk are doing this , but I think we have a code word for kids in poverty, now something like can I borrow something or other , so they can be sure every child eats , but then we also do free school meals always have tbh back when I was at school way back in the 1970s all pupils got free meals and free milk in school , come the mid 80,s ish that changed to only if they on benefits ,n got worse as years went on , now ,they are talking about going back to all get free meals , mine left school a few yrs back ,
Good idea! Especially here in the U. S where we can afford to spend trillions on an F-35 but we can't afford to make sure our children don't go hungry I🤬 fuqing Republican a$$holes....
This is a great idea. Obviously not going to solve world hunger but a fantastic initiative for kids that may be coming to school hungry. Also, school lunches aren't a thing really where I live, so something like this could be the difference between a kid eating versus going hungry all school day without a meal.
Innovation is essential for any product, service, or business. Without it, growth stalls, and companies struggle to adapt to change. For example, during the pandemic, many businesses had to rethink how they operated to survive, finding fresh ways to engage customers or deliver services. Innovation isn’t just about invention; it’s about solving real problems, improving experiences, and staying relevant in a constantly shifting world. Companies that embrace it often turn challenges into opportunities. At its core, innovation drives progress, inspires change, and keeps businesses moving forward even in uncertain times.
This Picnic Table With An Extension For Wheelchair Users
We have one of these at our park, but they put it over regular ground so it doesn't get used much.
I think it's in case someone has a bigger wheelchair? I feel like the best thing to do here would be to have the legs of the table imbedded in the concrete so it can't move.

That's brilliant. I stopped trying to play because I couldn't remember the moves.
This is great but learning how the pieces move isn’t the challenge. Chess is easy to play but really hard to be good at.
Good game, then. I do not look forward to the day when AI 'solves' chess.
Load More Replies...Our library has a similar set in the kids area so kids can learn how to play.
Amazingly BP has not censored "p**n" in the image although I expect it to be censored in my comment
I had a set like that. It was called Chess Teacher, or something similar.
My Beer 4-Pack Came With Paperboard Rings, Instead Of Plastic
Plastic rings around beer cans have been illegal where I live for years. I can't remember when I last saw them.
Load More Replies...As a teen I worked at a convenience store. I used to ask people "k**l a tree or choke seal today?"
"Both. It's nice to have while I flick lit matches into the spoil pile down at the abandoned coal mine."

Cardboard is common in Europe. Plastic also, unfortunately, but as wrapping and not those horrible rings.
Innovation also fuels growth by keeping stagnation at bay. When businesses resist change, they risk becoming irrelevant. Trying new approaches, testing ideas, and experimenting with solutions encourages flexibility and adaptability. It helps companies not just survive, but thrive, even when the market or environment shifts unexpectedly. In short, it turns obstacles into pathways for improvement and success. Without it, businesses risk falling behind while others leap ahead.

This is good for those who don't use smart phones. I use the forward facing camera and the enlarge function on my smart phone to use it like a magnifying glass. Works great and I use it all the time, even at home.
Cater to the customers who need the product. Makes perfect sense.
Ever notice that the back pain meds/treatments are always on the lower shelves?

Load More Replies...To understand the power of innovation in practice, we spoke with Sumer Singh Patil and Pravin Kadam, co-owners of Swaad – Assal Marathi, a Maharashtrian restaurant in Germany. “We decided to bring authentic Maharashtrian food to Munich,” they explained. Their goal was to introduce a cuisine that many people outside India rarely experience. Instead of replicating the common North Indian dishes found in most Indian restaurants abroad, they wanted to showcase the unique flavors, ingredients, and traditions of their home state.
The Library Places The Books On The Lower Shelves On Their Sides So The Titles Are Easier To Read
At my library, all of the books on hold are put onto shelves for the patrons to pick up themselves. A slip of paper with your library number on it shows which books are yours. The problem with that was many of the hold books were the new, popular books. Someone would help themselves to your book on hold and just walk off. The library fixed the problem by lying the books on their spines. You can see the slips of paper with your library number on it, but the books are anonymous.
At my library nobody else can put that book on their card. The library software links the book to you so no one else can take it home
Load More Replies...The placing of the books that way is damaging to the spine of bound books. Not a problem with paperbacks. My first job was repairing books in a college library.
This probably doesn't affect the time a book stays in circulation considering how hard patrons are on books on general.
Load More Replies...INVARIABLY the book I want is on one of the lower shelves! This would be great.
My library has automated lockers, like the Amazon Pick Up lockers, for reserved books. You go over, scan the QR Code they emailed or texted you, and the locker pops open revealing your books.
This Shirt Has A Piece Of Lens Cloth Sewn On The Inside For Your Glasses
Great idea, but micro fibers are just another source non-biodegradable plastics and micro plastics. It used to be cotton was the cheap fabric now it’s hard to avoid nylon, elastane (Lycra and spandex), and polyester. At least rayon and viscose is somewhat biodegradable.

Load More Replies...At My Library You Can Pick Up Bags Of Books In A Certain Genre Without Knowing What Those Books Are
There's one called "date night" in my city that includes 1 book, 1 teabag and a small candle. You pick the genre but you don't know what youre getting
Actually an amazing idea, sometimes I get books based on title vibe, this would help me find some good books pretty easily hehe
You're naturally more inclined to pick a genre that you have enjoyed in the past. So you may get a bag with a lot of books you've already read.
I guess if you don't know what's inside, they're all the same category. Mystery!!!!!!
“There are plenty of Indian restaurants here, but most stick to familiar North Indian dishes,” they said. “We wanted to do something different. India is incredibly diverse, and each state has its own culinary identity. Being from Maharashtra, we wanted to bring the authentic flavors and traditions of our region to people who have never experienced them before.” Their vision was to provide a genuine taste of home, balancing tradition with the local palate in Germany. By focusing on regional cuisine, they hoped to offer something both novel and deeply rooted in culture, showing how innovation can thrive in even the most traditional culinary spaces.
My School Put Up Whiteboards To Stop Vandalism In The Toilet Rooms
It is! Its a good compromise! We cant and dont really want to stop kids from being kids (if its not harming someone) but we also dont want to empty our pockets for their teenage antics. Now "for a good time call 8675309" can be gone with a wipe!

This Wood Carving Knife I Bought Comes With Bandaids In The Box
Not sufficient. A little cooler, some ice, some gauze, some tape, and a Q code to a website to get you to the nearest hospital.
Load More Replies...I bought that same carving knife... and used the Bandaids that very first day.
I had an old knife at least 20 years old that I had never sharpened. I bought a new knife. Cut myself three times in the first month. I never realized how often I was probably touching the blade of the old one, but it was so dull it didn't leave a mark.
ok, so my mind automatically read that as 9/11 and I had to rethink that after looking on the blade for it before the front lobe kicked in...
Load More Replies...Maharashtrian cuisine is deeply influenced by the state’s geography and natural resources. Coastal regions are famous for Malwani cuisine, which emphasizes coconut, seafood, and bold flavors, while interior areas rely more on millets, peanuts, and lentils, reflecting the semi-arid climate. From spicy Kolhapuri curries to the simpler, subtly spiced Varadi dishes of Vidarbha, every region offers something unique. This diversity makes Maharashtrian cuisine a rich tapestry of tastes, textures, and ingredients.
My School's Library Has Noise-Level Guides That Change Colour When It Gets Too Loud
I used to have one for my classroom, don't know what ever happened to it.
I need this for my home lol, I hate family gatherings for this reason
I need this for when I'm on the train or bus with entitled people who play their devices too loud as if they're at home or a DJ.
The cafeteria at my elementary school used to have something like this. Obviously, it didn't help.

You Can Shoot Your Car With Suds While You're Waiting Inside At My Local Car Wash
My local wash had that. Then it got bought out, and they disabled it. On the trucks that were coming in after going mudding, the conveyer would stop long enough for us to play a tic tac toe game-since the suds had to sit for a few to get thru the layers of mud
“We use a lot of pulses and millets as staples, which keeps the food wholesome and traditional,” they explained. “What makes Maharashtrian cuisine special is the way we layer flavors. Ingredients like kokum and tamarind add natural sourness, goda masala gives a distinctive spice blend, and peanuts contribute texture and depth. We also follow traditional cooking methods, like using the pata-varvanta, a stone grinding tool, to make pastes from scratch. These techniques may seem old-fashioned, but they preserve the authenticity and complexity of the cuisine, making every dish true to its roots.”
My University Library Has A Wall Where You Can Quite Literally Take A Seat
This would destroy me...you need to take from certain areas to maintain a reasonable pattern, plus you have to take the right colours in the right order....my brain would die.

This Beer, Bought From Burger King, Came In A Jug With A Side Compartment Full Of Ice To Keep The Beer Cool
Wine in France, beer in the UK and Germany , we are not all as stuck up as the US
Load More Replies...What sort of heathen chills their beer down to tastelessness? 🥺 (says a Brit - but I'm certain many Belgians agree with me)
Aussies and Fijians apparently and anyone else who lives on or near the equator because its so bloody hot your stubby cooler melts before you’re halfway through your beer, and by the time you hit the dregs it’s warm as a sausage roll left on the dashboard of a Hilux in the Katherine dry season.
Load More Replies...LOL!! Burger King!! What a concept. I love to see how things we take as American are able to make their mark, and do it so well, in other countries.
I've put an ice block in a glass of red wine to cool it down. It's no longer massively frowned upon to have cool red wine. It tastes better afaic.
Since when does Burger King sell bloody beer 😂they don’t in uk ,ok I ain’t been in one for erm dam 40 yrs lmao , n no where near one now think closest is almost 30 miles away ,is it a thing in uk ???
My City Has Public Defibrillation Stations And The Sign For It Looks Like A Video Game Health Bar
We have them here in uk, they are all put in decommissioned phone boxes , or on walls like our village hall wall , we have two one outside the school in phone boxes top end of village ,n down bottom op the pub on village hall , so so useful , I gotta say , n this being USA towns even more useful cos technically u cant miss it can u ,( i did say technically mind 😂)
Ours are just bright yellow in high traffic areas, or they are in old public payphone booths.
Defibrillators can be used by anyone on anyone. You do not need medical training to follow its instructions and there is no other treatment option for the patient. Neither of this applies to the other conditions you mentioned. For example, don''t give Aspirin to a person you suspect to have a stroke!!! Without brain imigaing you can not rule out a hemmoragic stroke AKA brain bleeding. In this case, Aspirin could be deadly while the benefits of taking that risk are neglibile.
Load More Replies...Germany is famous for its bread culture, but Swaad wanted to introduce authentic Maharashtrian pav, the soft, slightly sweet buns integral to dishes like vada pav. “We source and bake our pav in a way that stays true to its original texture and flavor,” they said. “It’s a small detail, but it transforms the experience of the dish. Pairing it with traditional fillings and chutneys gives diners a real taste of Maharashtra, even thousands of kilometers away.” This focus on authenticity demonstrates how attention to detail can innovate within traditional frameworks, creating something both familiar and entirely new to local customers.
My Movie Theater Has A Sign For End Credits
Yes, I have gone to the movies and watched the credits and they would have other scenes/things on there and most movie goers leave and missed out on so much while I get to see these scenes.
So they put the scenes in to encourage people to sit through the credits and then tell you which movies have them. Kinda defeatist, isn't it?
I guess you've never sat through a long movie, plus 5 - 10 minutes of credits for no payoff scene to justify the extra pressure on your bladder.
Load More Replies...Not been in a cinema in ligit decades lol sky movies does em all ,n a decent size tele peace n quiet perfect oh and much much cheaper to boot , but yup if your fussy about end credits , (you can just leave as they start mind ) then great idea 👍
I only go to subtitled showings, as I'm partly deaf and can't wear hearing aids. That means I hardly ever go to the cinema these days. At least with Sky Movies I can turn on the subtitles.

Before I moved into this house I didn't even know this was a thing. Still don't think i've ever seen another one.
I've seen removeable ones you can buy that have a suction cup to stick on the shower.
My bestie and I wanted to create 'the hedge ledge' at uni, so you can shave your Hello Kitty more easily, but then somebody clearly invented it first!
The benefit of having an overbath shower, (when you never have a bath), the edge is a great footrest when shaving your legs.
I've seen something like this for restroom doors. Same shape, with a little claw edge that you can grip with the tip of your shoe, and pull the door open. No more touching the handle, or piles of paper towels on the floor used to open the door.
My ADHD Meds Came With A Fidget Cube
I think the adult version comes with the popper toy thing. Since it’s the same starter kit, but with different dosage instructions, I was given a choice between that box or the adolescent kit, which included the fidget cube. My therapist and I thought it was hilarious to even have the choice between the two in the first place.
Have you tried an infinity cube? Game changer. Mine is 3d printed basically from leftovers to prevent waste, which adds delightful texture
Load More Replies...Great idea. Now I wish my depression meds would come with a portable sun or something similar.
I'd like to know where the f**k Anne wants people with "normal things" to go to get medicine for things like ADHD if not to a therapist
Well, I'm pleased that Australia is allowing some GPs start diagnosing ADHD because it's incredibly hard to get into a psychiatrist for it, especially for adults. My sister had a hard time around 2020 because the government decided all adults with already diagnosed ADHD during childhood had to go back to a psychiatrist to be re-diagnosed. As expected this made it even harder to get in because everyone needed it at once, so she went almost 6 months without meds which was horrible. GPs can keep a prescription going, but needed a psych to give the initial one.
Load More Replies...The pharmaceutical d**g companies had to find a way to keep their sales people relevant and working. Once gifting these types of things to physicians and providers became illegal, innovation was key to promotion.
I have ADHD too. In high school I would be keeping some fidgets in my bag
How? OP clearly finds joy in it. Why are you always such a negative grump?
Load More Replies...“At first, it felt impossible to bring all these flavors and traditions to a foreign country,” they admitted. “But we were determined, so we went for it. Our approach combines authentic Maharashtrian taste with flavors that German diners enjoy. We tweak dishes subtly where needed without compromising the essence of the cuisine. It’s a creative balancing act, staying true to our roots while making the food approachable for a new audience. The result is innovative dishes that tell a story, bring people together, and celebrate culinary heritage in an entirely fresh way.”

I prefer my tacos carretta style. Wrapped in foil with onions and cilantro on a soft tortilla. Once you develop a taste for real taco truck food, you never go back.
Why not go back? These are good, too. Not everything needs to be perfectly authentic, Ray.
Load More Replies...You start with three and order more after you finish. Otherwise the tortillas get too wet and fall apart from the salsa and limón
Load More Replies...This is becoming more and more common as tacos are coming into their own niche market. We are so waaay beyond the basic meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato of days gone by.
U know what WHERE CAN I BUY THEM ?? I don’t want the takeaway containers, but I’d love some of the insides for when I do tacos at home ,that’s bloody brilliant ,( this has to be USA tho pfft ,)
My Dad’s New Car Has Cup Holders That Can Warm Up Your Drink Or Cool It Down
OP: "Also, to those who ask, it’s a BMW X5 45e, the 2020 version."
Load More Replies...Gosh, I am old enough to recall when built-in cup holders were added to vehicles. Prior to that, plastic clips on the window seal/ledge was the deal if you were carrying the average-sized (and yes, there was a time when most drinking vessels, cans etc - at least the cold ones - were of an average size) containers OR you got chilly nether regions.
I read about the IMV 0 pickup that Toyota released in Asia. Just a plain Jane vehicle with no bells and whistles. I want one. Less to go wrong and likely easy to fix whatever does.
My cup holders are usually full of crumbs... It's a working vehicle. My office is the front passenger seat.
Well, just like the dishes at Swaad, these posts showcase clever, innovative ideas that aren’t just creative, they’re genuinely useful. From everyday items to little hacks that make life easier, each one solves a problem in a smart and unexpected way. Some are so simple yet brilliant that you wonder why no one thought of them sooner. Scroll through and see which one made you laugh, nod in appreciation, or even take notes. Have you ever come up with a solution this clever yourself? These ideas prove that innovation can be fun, practical, and inspiring all at once.
Band-Aid Kept Falling Off. Cut The Wings Down The Middle And Cross-Crossed Them, And Now It Stays On All Day
Aaaah well, superglue (the substance itself, not the brand name) was invented by the US military during the Vietnam war specifically for glueing wounds back together in battlefield emergency situations. It's called "toothpaste", but there's no mention of fluoride? If you ask me, if there ain't no sodium monofluorophosphate (or something that'll do the same job of repairing tooth enamel), it ain't toothpaste.
Not everyone wants fluoride in their toothpaste. Some brands specifically advertise themselves as being fluoride free.
Load More Replies...Toothpaste is one of the great inventions to come out of the US state of Alabama. If it had come from anywhere else, it would have been called 'teethpaste'.
Peter Bear: fun fact; decades of study have shown that brushing with a fluoride toothpaste repairs microscopic damage to tooth enamel and thereby provides a significant reduction in tooth decay. Modern toothpaste doesn't abrade tooth enamel, which is the hardest substance in the human body. Claims to the contrary are misinformation. Don't let yourself be fooled by the conspiracy theorists and liars out there.
Load More Replies...Fluoride is not a heavy metal. The toxicity level is much greater than what most people experience. And the benefits are well established. "CDC named fluoridation of drinking water one of 10 great public health interventions of the 20th century because of the dramatic decline in cavities since community water fluoridation started in 1945."

One of the women I go to aqua aerobics was complaining because it always took so long to get an ice coffee at the nearby cafe because they had to make a pot and then cool it, because apparently it wasn't common enough to make a pot specifically for it ahead of time. She told them they should just freeze it and it was like she was describing something crazy to them.
I am too old for this. I drink coffee because it's HOT w*f would I need ice cubes for?

Shopping Carts In This Store Come With A Magnifying Glasses
I need this! Sometimes even with glasses the writing is too tiny. I also have a necklace with an owl pendant, inside the belly of the owl is a small magnifying lens, I feel like Miss Marple when I use it 😊
And why do manufacturers find it necessary to have 20 different fonts on a label? We oldsters can't read most of them even with a magnifying glass.
Load More Replies...Quite necessary. Shrinkflation is making packaging so small I can't tell if the item's in the cart or not.
Great idea. I often resort to using my phone camera to zoom in on those hard-to-read lists.

Our Local Supermarket Offers Free Fruits For Children To Snack While Shopping
Not sure country this is but it is 100% NOT the USA. We kinda suck on the whole "taking care of children", these days.

Turns out Duck wants it called "duct tape" because they want to protect their brand. It really was named for the way it repels moisture, not for the fact that one of its many, many uses is on ducts.

I appreciate when I see construction happnening at night during the summer months.
Night time construction happens because it's safer, not too mention there's less accidents from drivers rubber necking trying to watch a crane set a section of bridge foundation.... I don't know about halal, but for kosher there is a principle called batel b'shishim. If kosher food is accidentally contaminated, the non-kosher substance is "nullified" as long as it's less than 1/60th of the total mixture and doesn't impart a noticeable odor or taste.

Hood Light Indicates If Stove Is Still Hot. Electric Stoves Stay Hot Even When The Stovetop Is Seemingly Cool, So I Thought This Would Be Cool To Implement
Mine just simply has a red bar light on the actual stove itself. Works better that way.
Load More Replies...Most modern electric/ceramic hobs have touch controls and display, which will continue to warn, usually with a red LED H, as long as any of the elements are still hot even after you've switched it off.
I live in an apartment building built in 1979. The appliances are old. If I could install something like this myself, I would. The hood light, I mean.

Our family keeps a tea kettle with water in it and when we're done cooking on one of the burners we place the kettle over the hot burner while it cools so the next person who goes to use the stovetop won't put their hand on it accidentally.
Tea kettle on hot burners protects cats, too.

The Music Venue That I Went To Has A Breathalyzer On The Wall
I’ve been at a bar with one of those and guys were competing to see who was the most drunk
A few years ago the French brought in a law requiring drivers to have a disposable breath test kit in their cars. Much controversy ensued, and it was never enforced. The main objection was that it would encourage people to drive up until their personal limit. Once you know that the third beer (for example) is not usually going to put you over the legal limit for driving you're going to always have that extra one, and potentially increase your likelihood of impairment as a result.
I remember that. Mine melted during a very hot summer.

A single drink can have an influence on your performance in a critical driving situation, where every second counts. It could be the diffrence of running over a person or not. Rather not drink and drive at all, not even one.
This Oven With A Progress Bar For Preheating
After some tests, I skip the pre-heating. Only a few dishes actually need the immediate impact of heat. Saves time and a little bit of energy. Edit: Yes, it is a convection oven, the fan distributes the heat evenly. Most likely a "normal" oven will act differently, even when top & bottom heat are chosen.
I also turn the oven off 3-5 minutes before the end of baking time, if I am in the kitchen. Same little bit of energy.
Load More Replies...It takes 8 minutes for my oven to heat to 375 deg. I had looked at the clock and just happened to look again when it beeped fo a Pillsbury frozen biscuit in. The closest you can get to homemade biscuits! 23 mins and a piece of sausage and a scrambled egg & yum. If wasn't on purpose that I looked qt the clock both times.
My oven plays a melody when the oven is at temperature. Also there are lights on the stove top to show if a burner is still hot.
That's common. But it's nice to have some idea of how much longer you have to wait for it to be preheated.

The Shower In My Hotel Room Has A Little Window In The Glass So You Can Grab Your Towel Without Opening The Shower Door
Maybe I'm just not getting it but what does this actually "save" since when you're grabbing your towel the shower shouldn't be running? Drips on the floor would still be mostly the same since you can have same amount of arm outside regardless.
Thereby letting out the water that the door is supposed to be stopping. You can see water all round the opening.
My New Dishwasher Projects The Remaining Wash Cycle Time Onto The Floor
How often are people so eager to get stuff out of the dishwasher the moment it's finished that they need a countdown?
Maybe it's because I live in an older building, but I actually encounter that pretty much every day. When I want need something that is in the dishwasher. When I want to vacuum (can't use them at the same time because it risks overloading the electrical system). When I want to use the washing machine (can't use them at the same time because they share the "drain tube" so there's a risk of flooding the kitchen when they both discharge all their water at the same time). When I wanna go to bed (because it needs to be opened afterwards to properly dry and you need to open the door manually).

I installed one in my kitchen. That water was hot, but not "piping hot" -- about 195 deg F. I prefer boiling hot water for tea or 'turkish' coffee (espresso grounds in a cup, then add boiling water). The stuff in drip coffee makers is nothing but lukewarm brown water. This device is not that much better.
I had a friend who had one of these installed in their kitchen. Super convenient.
This Metal Slide That Is Water Cooled So It Doesn’t Burn Kids In The Summer
The vertical drop off the end is fierce, though. I have a child who was hurt by a slide of that shape. I've never forgiven myself for failing to notice the drop, and I've never forgiven whoever designed the horrendous thing.
It's not about the slide manufacturer, it's about the installer. (I once was sliding down a twin slide so I could hold my then-toddler while we went down together. After several trips, I put my hand on his back as I set down. He took that as a "go" signal and went down without me. WHOOMP! I felt soooo bad.)

We’d also get thrown off the merry go round or throw up because we were going too fast. And swing as high as we could, then jump off. We were gods. Good times had by all.

My Whey Has A Little Hook To Put The Scoop On
It's the first time I've seen something like this since I haven't really taken protein in a while. It's a nice little addition.

From 9:00 to 10:59 in the morning, my openHAB gets the predictions for my bus stop to work, turning green when leaving, which means getting there within 45 seconds of the bus.
I searched. "open Home Automation Bus (openHAB) is an open source home automation software written in Java. It is deployed on premises and connects to devices and services from different vendors."
A watch doesn't tell you the bus schedule (some are so random that they're hard to memorize, especially if they also have exceptions in the weekend and holidays), and also doesn't tell you whether the bus is running late or not. OP uses the information from the bus company that sends predictions every few minutes about how late the bus will be at the bus stop.
Load More Replies...That is so cool! I might try to make one too. Although my bus company doesn't seem to send information about whether a bus is late, so it won't help in that regard. My Patients Pill Is Just 4 Pills In A Bigger Pill
The outer layer delays digestion, so the medicine is absorbed in the intestines rather than in the stomach.
I've had some medications like this, 3 to a capsule. Venlafaxine, I think it was. The capsule can be opened to allow the dose to be varied (on doctors orders of course) without having to write a new prescription each time. In that case the outer capsule did not have any effect on the absorption, and I doubt it would in the one pictured - generally that task is performed by coatings on the individual tablets themselves.

My mother has several barn door-style doors in her house with that exact same sliding door hardware. Maybe that house has them as well, so it's a design aesthetic choice.

I Ordered An Iced Tea And Received A Cup Of Water With Ice And Two Tea Bags On Top
Isn't ice tea supposed to be brewed tea that is then cooled..? What instant tea c**p is in these "tea" bags?
To be fair, I believe that (at least) Lipton - don't start piling on the tea brand hate, I'm just advocating the defense here based on observational evidence - has a tea option that you don't need to brew in hot water.

Ok, so having had iced coffee in cans for a while, I thought I would treat myself at Costa to a "real" iced coffee. I was not expecting a cup of coffee with ice blocks for £5.
This makes me think about when I ask if a place has sweet tea and they tell me I can add sugar to the iced tea. Oh, honey, no, that is sweetened tea, not sweet tea.
Sweet tea has sugar added to hot tea which can dissolve a lot more sugar easily than can cold tea. Try it in a pot on the stove.

Right? It's one thing to say you don't like it because it's not practical or something; it's quite another to say I don't like it, therefore it shouldn't exist.

Most of us are here just trying to have a good day. If you think you’re funny or clever or superior, and need to act like that, take it somewhere else. There’s a whole internet full of other places for you.

I really hope Anne gets the help she clearly needs. I hope she finds somebody willing to validate her for who she is, maybe actually even give her a hug or just touch her. I don’t know if she’s screaming out for attention and acknowledgment, or maybe she’s just truly a miserable human being. Either way, I feel sorry for her.
Hey, a collection of cool devices which doesn't feature buttons where you can buy them on Amazon! Great!
