Erm I’m female and I for one do not feel in the least bit threatened by a trans woman !! I think you will find those of us with broad caring minds don’t ! it’s only the likes of the brainwashed religious lunatics as have issues !

Crystalwitch60: hardly any trans women are a threat to cis women. But Isla Bryson's a trans woman who would be a threat to you if she weren't in prison - because she's a male-bodied rapist of women. It's that sort of extremely rare person who worries women like J K Rowling and Jean Hatchet. They're worried it might become unlawful to exclude male bodies from female safe spaces. The UK Supreme Court's recent ruling has at least sorted that one out - its judgement means that it is clearly permitted (but not required) to provide spaces and services which are segregated by biological s*x in the UK. The ruling emphasizes that it remains unlawful to discriminate against trans people, and also chides parliament for not sorting this whole thing out with new legislation when it was asked to.

Find me a single instance of a cis woman being harmed by a trans woman in a public bathroom and then we'll talk.

Kathy Brooke, why impose an impossible precondition before you will consider reasoned discussion? The issue here, I think, is the hate-speech term "terf" which has nothing to do with your point. As far as I know, there's no practical risk involved in trans people using the lavatory which meets their gender identity; the converse does however expose trans people to risk of abuse. I'd like an apology for your baseless allegation of homophobia - how dare you! What I was doing was responding to your "Anybody LGBTQ+ is safe with me". Anybody? Without restriction?
