If you’re a “troublemaker” who enjoys messing around and texting strangers for fun with hilarious funny text pranks, these funny things to text random numbers will inspire you to start a new message on your phone. Our collection of funny responses to wrong-number texts will make your day—troublemaker or not.
Funny wrong number texts are much more common than you think. You might be the sender one day and the recipient the next day. All it takes is a wrong digit on the number or a miswritten letter on your contact list, and OOPS! A dangerous text was sent to someone you probably don’t know. Even worse, sometimes an incredibly embarrassing text for adults aimed at your significant other finds its way to a different contact’s inbox—all because you selected Anne instead of Anna by mistake.
You never know if you’ll be the sender or the recipient of the wrong texts, but you can always save some funny random texts to send back. Take, for example, the people on our list who took the texting game to a new level of hilarity with their responses. Instead of getting scared of the stranger’s danger and just typing back, ‘Sorry, wrong number,’ they went along with the wrong text message they received.
Regardless of how they got the texts, these wrongful recipients came up with brilliant responses to these wrong number texts, and you can check them all out below.

Yes, the first message had zero compassion, and deserved what it got.
Yeah, you don't text someone about the passing of a family member or a friend. Also, I especially hate it when the moment someone dies, their family doesn't wait to tell people via phone first, they just put it straight on Facebook! I've found out about a few passings on Facebook. It's not really fair
Sometimes, there's too many to tell, especially if they did have loads of friends. I have actually learned of a few passings via Facebook, most of them handled properly. Close family and friends should always be informed over the phone. Telling them via FB is better than not telling them at all. I've had the latter happen as well, where the death "came out" on FB but not straight from the those closest to them. That was worse.
Load More Replies...Got these texts for both my grandmothers and my aunt. No matter what i tell my father, he insists on texting me about deaths and bad news in the family. Damn technology.
I wonder if say in 100 years a man and a woman wouldn't even have to meet to get married? All done over the phone including the honeymoon and child delivery?
There was a time when a person wanted to continue the conversation after I said wrong number. I was in a rush, so I politely expressed my disinterest. They thought that was very rude, and replied with “are u a lady and may I see ur cat”. I replied with “which one? ”
Not getting the number right is rude as f**k. What if it was sent to someone with an alive dad? What if it was sent to someone with a fatally ill dad? What if it was sent to someone with just a slightly ill dad that that told their dad the other day it's nothing, just a simple cold?
this is an awesome response. many thanks to the green bubble guy for restoring some decency into the conversation.
Right! Someone needs to be taught where to draw the line when sending text. I thought it was bad breaking up through text, but this is horrible.
He is actually right, and this is also why it seems fake. You don’t just text your kid, “Hey, Dad just died.” Like, you don’t do that!
I'm hard of hearing and I actually prefer it if someone texts me about the loss of a loved one.
Sadly, my idiot relatives keep texting me gems like this one from my cousin... "okay, my Dad died, so we're going to try to do the funeral blah, blah, blah...Hamilton tickets Monday night...and Aunt Lucy doesn't want to pay weekend rates at the Marriott..." yeesh! I'm glad MY PARENTS are dead so I can AVOID them all now! 🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻
What kind of idiot texts "Your father just died"? What a disconnected sh#thead!
I love how they tried - the spoon cracks me up! They have dogs... who wouldn't want to know them!
Yeah, unscrew those nipples a bit or you'll regret it when you're older!
I really feared for this poor Brian person for a moment. I must admit I would have said WRONG NUMBER as soon as he said he was going to hurt Brian.
people must be like: *sees photo txt from random person with the wrong number* " HEY DUDE! get over here some chic hs the wrong number and sent me a pic. u GOTTA match it"
Geez I am not cool with full stops and spaces BEFORE question marks, who does that. ??
guys, not same person... He photoshopped his head on the senders picture.
its funny when people gent sent random pics and ppl try to recreate them
Give the guy my number. I'll take his money if that'll make him happy
So, over the summer, someone sent me a text saying "hello! I'm your text door neighbor. I just wanted to introduce myself, have a wonderful day!" turns out it was the exact same phone number as mine, but the last digit was different, it was a 5 instead of a 6. I didn't know what this was at first, so there was a huge exchange of memes, playful banter, and we both discovered we had a lot in common and it actually turned into a friendship. 7 months later, and we still talk! I could have been rude, ignored her, told her to leave me alone, but I had fun with it, and she had a sense of humor about it too, and I'm glad she texted me!
I could read more of these any time! I was having a really bad day - in a lot of pain - but these cheered me up! THANK YOU!
had to agree with the person in the dead father text, informing you anyone in your family has died deserves at least a phone call and it was very rude and uncaring to do it in a text.
it was the 'stop sending me pictures of a cat' that really cracked me up!
I'm sure it would be appreciated by the owners of the phone numbers in #3 if the numbers were blurred or blacked out to avoid random / harassing calls from readers of their texts. That said, it's highly likely they posted them to begin with, so maybe they *should* get a bunch of calls to teach them to be more circumspect in the future.
I just received this one today. I am the blue quotes text2-588b...0a55a7.jpg
Lol. Whenever someone texts me but it's the wrong number I either reply in Spanish, but that's risky since I barley speak Spanish, or I just keep saying it's the wrong number and try to reveal the least amount of personal information possible
Where do you see yourself in 10 years ? - I don't know, man. A year before, I had no idea someday I would be standing here. A year after today, I don't expect me to know that either. My life is never calm waters, theres always been storms and always will, I will be broken, shattered, lost .. and definitely I would be having no single Idea how I got here. So, keep the r******d question for the interviewers in the multi billion dollar corporate horsehouses. I'm living my life, not playing chess.
