People Are Sharing The Names They Now Call Their Pets Instead Of The Original One, And It’s Hilarious
Just like when naming a baby, a great deal of care and thought normally goes into choosing what you'll be yelling at your furry friend for years to come. In practice, however, most of us just end up calling them whatever comes to mind over the years, and at some point realize that those nicknames have actually become their identity. Twitter user @MooseAllain recently shared the unfortunate moniker their pet was doomed to carry, and sparked a chain reaction of other animal owners confessing how their companions' names 'evolved' as time went on. It's one of those truly pure and delightfully hilarious moments on the Internet that just makes you want to tune everything else out for a short while and have a giggle.
Scroll down to see what people are really calling their pets, and let us know what you're guilty of dubbing yours. (h/t)

Now, I so want to see a picture of that bunch! I'd love to smell that stench too! Any scratch and sniff available? :)
We have Cleocatra, or Cleo for short. But sometimes she's Pheo or Fleo
Dogs just want love and to make us happy.... and a decent and dignified name....
I'm assuming they had lots of Adventures together, right? ;D
My Molly is Molly Moo, Moo, Muffin, Mollificent, Mollers; other cat is Kaylee, Kayles, Kaelzebub, Kit Bit, Kittle Bittle, Bug (when she was littler and had big bug eyes)
We have a Woodrow Winston we call him woodie, he’s known as woodman, booboo, my big boy, my baby but mostly Woodie.
Haha - my cats name is Minge too!!! Started as Minge (my Ginger), then Missoula, then Ginzario, now it's the GZA
He also has a raccoon for a friend whom we have name George Cooney.
Montgomery….Monty/Montypom/Monty-P/Monty Python / Monster/ Pom/Pompom/Pompompadoodle/Poodlepoo......and now Poodie. I don't ever mean to change what I call him...it just evolves....
Someone isn’t editing in the names maybe? Ok so Cutie, strangers would call him Cutie and as I don’t know him personally, Cutie he is. If he lived somewhere in Scotland, older gentlemen on the streets would call him Laddie ‘Och Laddie ..” so a cute dog - Scoot Moot Mcboot (Boots for short) and from bout 5 years of age you will probably call him Sweetie.
