This is a massive NOPE. I suppose getting legal advice could protect you from the guilt and give you an “out.” It is quite disturbing that your fiancé would even ASK you such a thing, let alone guilt & manipulate you, or try to justify it at all. That’s not right. If her Parents, her PARENTS, have difficulty managing their finances after inheriting an HOUSE it stands to reason one more “rescue/bail out/gift” would change absolutely nothing. It’s sad and all, but the whole situation sounds like a red flag. The very minimal thing to do is get a pre-nup, then maybe see a lawyer for guidance and protection.
