Jesus Christ is my rock, my hope and my future. Warning others to get right with Jesus or be left behind to face the Tribulation after we believers are Raptured up to heaven. In the meantime, have fun, be kind and belly laugh at least once a day!

I count my blessings/ accomplishments. What I count is more reflective of my poor upbringing. “I have a car!” Or a driver’s license. Or a bank account. I haven’t dug for change in ages. I don’t know to the penny what is in my bank account. And now that I have a house, “That floorboard is mine.” Like mine mine. I came from no family in town, dead or absent parents, renting a quarter of an attic for $60 bucks a month with no car and no bank account and student loans. And every once in a while it hits me that this ordinary stuff I do or have was some past me’s out of reach. So I guess the weird thing I do is sit and stare in awe of the journey. And think, “I can buy ice cream.”.ScreeminGreen reply

A high paying job. Making good money is enticing but when your work starts to consume your life and deteriorate your mental health, the money isn’t worth it anymore.Soft_Hospital_4938 reply
Retirement. My dad bought a house on a small, quiet island when he retired. Some people can only dream of doing something like that. 3 months into it he realised he was bored as f**k. All he does is watch tv all day now. He's miserable on that island.TemperatureTop246 reply
A (really) big house. There is so much maintenance, expense, just keeping track of all your stuff… higher utility bills, more taxes, probably an HOA, just cleaning it is an impossible task without hiring professionals.Show All 23 Upvotes

My best friend and hetro-lifemate. Early 30s w/ wife. kids. great job and lots of friends. He was always looking for inventive ways to party. He figured out that you could order dried poppy pods online, grind them up and make poppy tea. This stuff is STRONG. 4/6 ounces will have you floating on a cloud for 24 hrs. Dosages kept going up over the next 10 yrs. until he couldn't physically drink enough fluid to maintain his habit. Lost his wife, kids and then his 3rd generation family business job. Then he switch to h****n. Living in a half million dollar home with no power or water. Junkies everywhere. When he OD'ed, they stuffed his body in a closet for 3 days so they could burn through his credit and debit cards before reporting it to the police. Now his family is fighting squatters who have destroyed his home. I miss him everyday/.
