50 Times People Snapped A Picture And It Turned Out To Be An ‘Accidental Renaissance’ (New Pics)
'Accidental Renaissance' is a subreddit that acts like a virtual gallery, dedicated to sharing and discussing images that unintentionally resemble works of art from the famous cultural movement known as the Renaissance. It took place in Europe roughly from the 14th to 17th centuries and was a time of great artistic and intellectual growth. During this period, humanity saw the emergence of some of the most famous creators in history, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael.
The subreddit celebrates the unexpected beauty that can be found in everyday life. Its members share photos of objects, scenes, and even people that have a striking similarity to Renaissance art; these images often showcase the symmetry, composition, and attention to detail that are characteristic of the old paintings and sculptures. Whether you're an art lover or just someone who appreciates the little things around us, I believe that 'Accidental Renaissance' can offer something to virtually anyone. "repairs a book"... now that's a combination of words I haven't expected to read anytime soon.
There's not too much anymore that I am willing to buy if I were to win a lottery or lawsuit. But I would actually try and buy this entire room. Books, bookshelves, desk , but not that guy at the desk. (I have been informed that buying people is immoral and possibly - oh, I'm sorry - Very; I meant to say very illegal.)
There was a used bookstore in North Vancouver called Booklovers where the owner had boxes and piles and overstuffed shelves... it was a freakin' fire hazard, but I loved that place. It was like a maze.

Dissapointed that the Manchester one that went viral didn't make it onto the list. See https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-35214873
I'm pretty sure it's been on a previous one.
Load More Replies...Lovely pics but only a handful fit the ‘renaissance’ label. I do like the idea: especially the snaps of everyday life around the world (aside from gorgeous skies etc), it makes us less distanced from other people, even from other times.
Exactly, most of these are more like romantic or neoclassical paintings, definitely not renaissance.
Load More Replies...These are so beautiful! I know some are situational, but wow to the talented photographers who caught them. My thumb would probably be in the picture!
Strong series. Can´t decide, which one is best! Keep on doing your thing :-)
I've generated images with the Stable Diffusion using the titles as prompt. https://nowokay.hatenablog.com/entry/2022/12/21/154414
i took some gorgeous accidental masterpieces...they look like a Flemish master painted them. i want to share them with you, my BP fambly, but i can't figure out how to attach it! halp
My little renaissance scene.. my husband reading before sleep with my sons https://www.instagram.com/p/B3v6nEjobaB/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
Jade, how did you attach that? i want to show a pic, too. 🥰
Load More Replies...Even before Photoshop, professional photographers were manually editing their photographers in or outside of a darkroom by using dodging and burning techniques, using glass prismatic filters, using Vaseline on the lens, vibrating/scratching the photo during development, etc. You are very rarely going to see a raw photo posted if it is done professionally.
Load More Replies...Looking through the photos while listening to Renaissance Music feels so different.
