We’ve all heard the saying “Change is the only constant,” and in today’s fast-moving world, that couldn’t be more true. One day, you have the latest phone, and the next, it’s outdated. A gadget that seemed revolutionary just a few years ago is now collecting dust in a drawer. With new technology, trends, and innovations shaping our lives at lightning speed, it makes you wonder—just how different was life 100 years ago?

To gain firsthand perspective, Bored Panda spoke with Kiran Devi Pincha, a 90-year-old great-grandmother from India who has lived through nearly a century of change. She has seen four generations grow up before her eyes and has experienced more transformations in one lifetime than most of us can imagine. She shared her thoughts on how much the world has evolved.

not indian. just use native or indigenous or just. the tribe name. "a canadian cree man", not "a canadian cree indian". native people are only called indians because colonizers thought that the US was india. this isn't even a social justice thing, it's just correcting something that is factually wrong.

It depends on the tribe & the individual. Some prefer First Nations, others prefer indigenous people, native, or even Indian. And if you're going to be that specific, you shouldn't include Canadian, his nation is Cree.

She also speaks about how much gender equality has evolved. "In my time, women had very limited choices. They were expected to get married, take care of the house, and that was it. I've read that the habit of using bouquets in marriages dates back to when personal hygiene was limited to one or two baths in a year. The smell of flowers covered the bad body odors. The use to marry in May or June also comes from the fact that people usually bathed for Easter and the body smells were still bearable

Yes! Very few folks in those days could afford a nice dress that would be worn only once. They probably had those dresses made for the wedding, then wore them for other social occasions afterward.

Looks like hydrangeas in some of those bouquets and those are big flowers! Probably from a friend's or family member's garden, since all of them are a little different.

Have you ever heard of something called a mind filter? usually you learn it around the first grade, but don't worry, plenty of people are late bloomers just like you! Basically it's when you filter out the potty words and mean things from the nice words and comments that you say, so you don't say the things that are rude to say. you should try it sometime

Mink or sable coats were quite common for those who could afford them. Woodland Park Zoo, in north Seattle and just up the hill from Green Lake. Up until the 1960's there were amusement park rides there. Now it's a nicer place, animals have natural habitats, and the only animals you get to touch are in the petting zoo, which is domestic animals like sheep.
