that is nice coz being homeless sux. not being able to keep clean is nasty and it don't take long to get that homeless smell on you from living in the same clothes and no bathing. I imagine he has to delouse the showers every day though coz many homeless have lice too

Sometimes it can't be helped. Maybe the family was away from home and couldn't get back, maybe they had to evacuate and the pet was roaming loose and couldn't be found. It's not always because they don't care.

I adopted from shelter a blind dog, 7yo, because no one asked for him for several months - only because he can't see. I couldn't choose a better dog. Everyone! Go to the animal shelters! Give a new life to all of these poor animals.

When my O'Pa was in the nurse tradition unit, dying we fibbed & said his dog was a service dog & snuck her in to see him. For days he had been mostly non-responsive but when we put Nalla on his bed, he reached for her and scratched her neck. She laid very still and wagged her tail. It meant a lot to our family. Nalla lives on my aunt's farm in Colorado now & she is still a great companion & snuggle buddy.

i read a similar story a couple of months ago maybe, a girl with the same problem outgrew her favourite shirt which was discontinued, and the company made lots of shirts for her following the same model, using the same fabric, and in different sizes. that is so considerate.

In some cases people seem to judge too quickly. I knew a lady who could only walk one dog at a time due to recent surgery, so she left the other dog in her car with water just long enough to take his brother to use the bathroom. She got ticketed in less than 5 minutes. In this scenario though, it looks like the pup was in there long enough for a crowd to gather though, so I'm willing to bet that this man's actions were indeed called for.

When I was 12 yo, we had a new student right in the middle of the school year. He was from Norway, and didn't speak a word of french (being in the french speaking part of Belgium, it would have been useful of course :D). Everyone avoided him, but hey, I've taken bigger challenge I guess ! So the beginning was a bit complicated, a mix of noises, pointing, english (well, the 5 words I knew at the time...). 28 years later, he is still my best friend, practically my brother. So you never know, language is just a barrier like another, and it's definitely worth a shot ;)

This one doesn't deserve to be in the list. They raise rabbits for meat and this litter was left outside in freezing temperatures that caused the death of the other litter mates. This little guy had a spinal injury and was put in this "wheelchair" with no regard given to the type of injury it had. They showed photos of them bathing the little bunny when baths can be fatal to rabbit without doing research. The little bunny ended up dying but not before they could fully exploit it for profit.

Exactly, they didn't save some bunny that would have been put to sleep while his litter mates were off getting adopted or roaming free in the wild. They caused his injury by their neglect, and then exploited the bunny hoping to make extra money.
